Description

An invitation to spend a half-day working alongside our team in the permaculture produce garden. You’ll have the chance to learn regenerative growing skills while actively supporting our permaculture projects.

The experience is designed to be both practical and rewarding, with tasks that may include creating living willow structures, building hugelkultur beds, threshing quinoa, and sowing or harvesting fruit and vegetables. There will also be space for meditation, sharing, and connecting with nature.

At 1pm, we’ll finish with a simple shared lunch provided by 42 Acres — think nourishing soup and bread. Afterward, you’re welcome to remain on the land, explore the estate, or enjoy a wild swim in the lake.

Please Note:

  • These sessions take place on the first Wednesday of every month, from April to September, 9am–2pm.
  • Booking opens 30 days ahead of each date; it is not possible to reserve further in advance.
  • Gloves and wellies or sturdy boots are required.
  • Lunch is included.
  • No previous experience is needed — just a can-do attitude.
  • If you have mobility concerns, please let us know before booking so we can do our best to accommodate you.
  • These are working exchanges, so please come prepared and arrive on time.
  • We kindly ask that you join us for the full session so you can get the most from the experience and build good connections with the group.
  • Please consult a licensed medical health professional before attending if you have any health conditions or are pregnant.
  • As much as we love dogs, they are not permitted at this experience.
