Summer is a season of fullness, when the outer world comes alive and something in us begins to stir as well. In the mountains, that awakening becomes a path of its own: a mindful journey shaped by silence, movement, and deep connection with nature.
Inspired by Thich Nhat Hanh’s invitation to walk gently upon the earth, this retreat offers a wild and reflective pilgrimage through Ordesa & Monte Perdido National Park. Step by step, you are invited to open your senses, soften your heart, and reconnect with your essence and true home.
The experience includes a 3-day, 2-night trek through the Sestrales and Añisclo Canyon, alongside yoga, meditation, tea ceremony, satsangs, and time for inner integration. The journey itself becomes the teacher, offering what is needed for growth, clarity, and self-discovery.
This retreat is designed for nature lovers who feel called to the wilderness. It is suitable for people in good physical condition with a minimum of trekking experience. If you have questions, please contact us by phone or WhatsApp.
Casa Cuadrau is a Social Interest Cooperative, and its programmes are designed to remain accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of financial situation. Pricing is based on trust, solidarity, and reciprocity.
You are invited to choose the highest rate you can afford within your circumstances. The scale is a reference, and you decide the limit.
Booking requires a €300 deposit. The remaining balance is paid at the end of the retreat by card or cash. At the end, there will also be a donation space to support Casa Cuadrau, its team, and participants with fewer financial resources.
The first day is dedicated to preparing body and mind for the pilgrimage. At Casa Cuadrau and in the surrounding area, you will practice yoga, review equipment, organize your backpack, and receive a detailed explanation of the route.
On the second day, the 3-day pilgrimage begins through the wildest and most magical corners of Ordesa and Monte Perdido National Park. Daniel Benito, a professional mountain guide and nature interpreter, accompanies the journey, bringing together hiking, meditative movement, pranayama, and meditation in the heart of nature.
On the final day, after returning to the house, there is time to rest, unwind with restorative yoga, and share experiences. The retreat closes with a tea ceremony before departure, leaving you renewed and full of vital energy.
This is an accessible trek for those in good physical shape with some mountain hiking experience. It is also a suitable introduction to multi-day trekking and sleeping in nature.
For three days, the group travels self-sufficiently, carrying only what is essential. Sleeping, cooking, and eating take place in nature without serviced mountain refuges, using only what is brought along and what the land offers for setting up camp.
Day one follows the GR-15.1 path to the San Urbez hermitage and then ascends the Añisclo Canyon. This is the most demanding section, with more than 17 km and over 1,000 meters of elevation gain. The canyon is one of the great jewels of the Pyrenees, known for its sculpted cliffs, rich biodiversity, and forest bathing atmosphere. The day ends at Fuenblanca, a spectacular high-mountain setting at 1,800 m.
On day two, the route leaves the canyon through Grau de Foratiello and passes San Vicenda, then continues through Plana Canal and Tozal de la Fueva to reach Los Sestrales, the summit of the pilgrimage at 2,101 m. Under the stars, the mountain becomes a place of stillness and vastness.
Day three circles Los Sestrales and descends more than 1,200 meters through mixed forests before returning to the Romanesque Bridge of San Urbez and finally back to the house, completing a powerful transformative journey.
