Day 1 – Arrival in Srinagar & Houseboat Stay | Dal Lake Introduction

Arrive in Srinagar at 5,200 ft (1,585 m) and transfer to a traditional houseboat on Dal Lake. After check-in, settle into a peaceful evening with views of the lake, quiet waterways, and the Zabarwan hills beyond. It is a gentle beginning that reflects Kashmir’s unhurried rhythm. Dinner is served onboard, followed by an overnight stay on the houseboat.

Day 2 – Floating Market & Srinagar Sightseeing | Gardens and Culture

Start the morning with a shikara ride to Srinagar’s well-known floating vegetable market, where daily lake life unfolds in a memorable setting. After leaving the houseboat, continue to Shalimar Bagh, Nishat Bagh, and Shankaracharya Temple. Time is also set aside for local markets and cultural discovery, with short city drives keeping the day easy and relaxed. Overnight stay in a Srinagar hotel.

Day 3 – Dachigam Hike & Old City Heritage Walk | Nature and History

Travel to Dachigam National Park (22 km | ~1 hr) for a guided hike along forest trails with mountain views all around. Later, return to Srinagar for a heritage walk through the old city, where historic lanes, mosques, and traditional neighbourhoods reveal the city’s layered past. Day 4 – Gulmarg Excursion from Srinagar | Gondola Ride & Alpine Meadows

Drive from Srinagar to Gulmarg (50 km | ~2 hrs), reaching 8,690 ft (2,650 m). Enjoy the famous Gondola ride and spend time among Gulmarg’s alpine meadows or snow-covered slopes, depending on the season. After taking in the wide mountain views, return to Srinagar by evening. Overnight stay in Srinagar.

Day 5 – Srinagar to Pahalgam via Martand Temple | Valley Transition

Depart Srinagar for Pahalgam (90 km | ~3 hrs). En route, visit the historic Martand Sun Temple, an architectural landmark set against open landscapes. Arrive in Pahalgam at 7,200 ft (2,200 m) and enjoy a calm evening by the river. Overnight stay in Pahalgam.

Day 6 – Pahalgam Sightseeing | Aru, Betaab Valley & Chandanwari

Spend the day exploring Pahalgam’s scenic ABC circuit. Visit Aru Valley, Betaab Valley, and Chandanwari, each offering distinct landscapes and easy, rewarding exploration. With river views and forested surroundings throughout, the day ends with a relaxed evening in Pahalgam. Overnight stay.

Day 7 – Sinthan Top Excursion from Pahalgam | High-Altitude Views

Drive from Pahalgam to Sinthan Top (90 km | 4–5 hrs round trip). The route features dramatic mountain scenery, shifting terrain, and broad high-altitude views. Spend time taking in the raw Himalayan landscape before returning to Pahalgam by evening. Dinner and overnight stay in Pahalgam.

Day 8 – Pahalgam to Sonmarg | Journey to the Meadow of Gold

Travel from Pahalgam to Sonmarg (170 km | 6–7 hrs). This long but scenic drive moves from lush valleys into open alpine terrain. Arrive in Sonmarg at 9,000 ft (2,743 m) and enjoy a peaceful evening surrounded by snow peaks and flowing rivers. Overnight stay in Sonmarg.

Day 9 – Sonmarg & Thajiwas Glacier | Alpine Landscapes
