Deep in the Amazon rainforest, the legend of Noya Rao, also known as Palo Volador or the “Flying Tree,” speaks of a sacred presence said to move beyond the physical world. In Amazonian shamanic traditions, especially within the Shipibo-Konibo lineage, this tree is regarded as a source of light, wisdom, and transformation.
Within this tradition, Noya Rao is understood as a Tree of Light: a spiritual guide believed to illuminate the path of awakening, support healing, and help restore connection between the human and the divine. Its myth carries themes of spirituality, inner change, and the journey toward deeper understanding.
Long respected in the forest as a master plant, Bobinsana has traditionally been seen as a guide for the shaman, helping navigate between worlds. Growing beside the river, it is also connected with the spirit of the nymph and the mermaid, adding to its mystical presence in the plant lineage.
This retreat is centered on the path of the Infinite Self. At One Breath of Yoga, non-duality, love, and compassion are core values, and the meeting of yoga philosophy with plant medicine offers a unique perspective on the path of love and knowledge.
In the Shipibo curanderismo lineage, non-duality, union, love, and compassion are also essential teachings. A Noya Rao Dieta can deepen this learning process, allowing both traditions to support one another in a powerful and meaningful way.
It is a rare opportunity to experience the meeting of two ancient wisdom paths from different parts of the world, often described as a true encounter of the Condor and the Eagle.
The retreat is held by a team whose experience naturally bridges both shamanic and yogic practice. Pamela, who leads the medicinal ceremonies and is also a yoga practitioner at the center, together with Coco, the lead Ashtanga Yoga teacher, and the rest of the team, create a safe and supportive environment for participants to fully immerse themselves in the experience.
Each participant receives individualized attention and treatment plans adapted to their needs. This personal approach supports focused healing and addresses the unique goals and challenges of every person.
Participants will also have the chance to meet and speak with the Plant Master, the center team, and other staff members who are always available to offer support.
Pamela is certified in biomagnetism, breathwork, and yoga therapies. Her shamanic path began in 2006 with the Santo Daime church. She has trained with the Red Path, vision quests, and Shipibo Masters in Peru, and has spent several years facilitating at the Sacred Valley Tribe Center, where she supported veterans with PTSD and people recovering from addiction through plant medicine work.
Guided by spirit, she is grateful for the opportunity to facilitate the sacred medicine of Ayahuasca and help others connect with their inner teacher. Her work supports the deep subconscious, helping participants recognize patterns, transform them, and move toward peace and inner harmony.
Coco is a devoted Ashtanga practitioner and teacher with many years of experience. She founded One Breath of Yoga Ashram, a space in Mexico’s Mayan Riviera that offers profound healing through the wisdom of yoga combined with shamanic rituals and practices. Over the years, the center has welcomed countless students and a respected international team of yoga teachers, shamans, and healing facilitators.
