As the wheel of the year turns toward Samhain, el Día de los Muertos, and All Hallow’s Eve, many cultures across the Earth enter a sacred season of remembrance. This is a time for honouring the Ancestors, turning inward, and meeting the mystery with ritual, celebration, and reverence. In many traditions, this threshold is seen as a powerful gateway, one that invites presence, prayer, and deep attention.
In this ceremonial retreat, participants are invited to honour the Ancestors through healing practices that recognize life and death as intimately connected. The gathering is held as an opportunity to enter the darkening season consciously, with reverence and intention, and to remember those who have gone before us with love and devotion.
Together, the group will create a sacred altar for beloved departed ones, prepare a feast for the Ancestors through the making of Despacho, and celebrate life through song, dance, and ceremony. The retreat offers space for meaningful healing around generational wounding, supporting participants in clearing the past so they may consciously shape the future.
Questions explored during the retreat include:
Commitment — facing inherited patterns with courage and compassion.
Connection — restoring relationship with ancestors, land, and lineage wisdom.
Communion — healing within the larger family of past, present, and future beings.

What is included in this retreat:
Across all Visionary Hearts events, members are welcomed into a carefully held ceremonial field devoted to embodied healing, relational truth, and spiritual maturity. While each gathering carries its own focus, rhythm, and medicine, every retreat is held within the same devotional atmosphere of care, discernment, and integration.
Within this field, participants can expect support through earth-honouring ceremony rooted in living lineage traditions, heart-centered practices that bring love into the body and daily life, guided shamanic journeywork and inner listening, sacred council and community dialogue, restorative movement, breathwork, and somatic practices, as well as time for rest, reflection, and renewal in beautiful natural surroundings.
Ongoing integration support is also included, with monthly community integration circles designed to help what is awakened in ceremony continue into everyday life through reflection, practice, and relational support over time.

In my mid-20s, my brother and I bought a raw parcel of land in the wilds of British Columbia. For years, I returned there for long stretches of solitude, quietly building a small cabin and working closely with the land. That time gave me the space my soul needed to begin asking deeper questions about who I was and what...
