The Liberation Library at our Turning Point building in Bangor, Pennsylvania offers a thoughtfully curated collection of liberation-oriented books that can be difficult to find in local libraries and bookstores. Built from personal book collections, this resource brings together justice-centered secular and Christian works in one accessible space for the community.
Designed to support activists, movement leaders, pastors, retreat guests, and local readers alike, the library invites deeper learning, reflection, and engagement. Its shelves include titles on dismantling white supremacy, resistance, healing justice, disability justice, queer studies, climate justice, and Lenape publications. Visitors will also find books in theology, especially feminist, postcolonial, and liberation theologies, along with biblical studies from similarly justice-oriented perspectives. Spiritual resources are also part of the collection, making it a meaningful place for study, inspiration, and growth.
