"Becoming a leader is synonymous with becoming yourself, it is precisely that simple and it is also that difficult" – Warren Bennis.
For more than 30 years, LAUNCH has supported youth ages 13 to 20-something in coaching, teaching, and training children who take part in KITS, an evidence-based performing arts program. Grounded in current peer-reviewed developmental research, the program gives young people a practical, hands-on space to explore their leadership strengths. Together, the LAUNCH youth and the KITS children create a community that reflects the spirit of an ancient village, where people of all ages grew essential skills and meaningful culture side by side. The impact is both deep and lasting, with some early graduates later enrolling their own children in LAUNCH.
We are fortunate to offer a long-standing youth-led program guided by a talented alumnus who is highly experienced in psychological models and leadership techniques that help shape strong leaders. Learning happens through play, because that is still one of the most effective ways to learn. Expect plenty of games and laughter as you build self-awareness, strengthen your speaking skills, and gain a clearer understanding of the kind of leader you are and the direction you want to take in your personal growth.
Youth leaders have a remarkable ability to help create a better world, often in ways they may not yet fully realize. The world can feel vast, and today’s challenges are many and complex. But starting from your own perspective, you can make the positive difference you hope to see.
"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it's the only thing that ever has." Margaret Mead
