Kambo Detoxification

The session begins with cleansing the space with salvia, accompanied by gentle instrumental music in the background.

The medicine is applied by lightly burning the surface layer of the skin and placing frog venom on the wound. Afterward, the participant is asked to drink around 1 to 2 liters of water. Within minutes, kambo may trigger immediate and generally uncomfortable effects such as sweating, a rapid heartbeat, or dizziness, until the person briefly vomits the water and/or releases toxins “from below” in the toilets next to the teepee, often feeling better right away.

Although the experience is not hallucinogenic or entheogenic, the energetic shift is understood as both physical and spiritual in nature. Some participants may feel tired afterward, so we recommend allowing at least 1.5 hours for recovery before continuing with other therapies.
