The original juice detox concept was inspired by the trailblazing work of Bernard Jensen, Swami Sivananda, and Dr. Gerson in cleansing and detoxification, and later shaped by the restorative power of yoga, meditation, fasting, and alternative therapies. Today, the programme is also informed by the latest research, helping ensure the highest standard of care.
Since launching in 1992, this comprehensive body, mind, and spirit programme has grown into one of the first of its kind, built on decades of experience and knowledge gained from supporting guests from around the world.
Each part of the retreat is designed to support physical, mental, and emotional detoxification and purification, making it suitable for anyone looking to improve their overall wellbeing. It also appeals to those who want to deepen their understanding of natural health practices and bring a more abundant, positive way of living into everyday life.
Group life is a key part of the experience, with four daily meet-ups for juices and broth, as well as shared classes and workshops.
Reasons For Participating
Benefits of Juice Fasting
To stay connected with nature, juices are prepared seasonally, offering variety and a broad range of vitamins and minerals to help replenish and cleanse the nervous system. Supplements are also provided throughout the retreat to support the cleansing process.

What's Included
Detoxing And Yoga
Yoga is open to all levels, so whether you are new to the practice or already experienced, the teachers can guide you through a soothing and supportive session that complements your detox.
Gentle movement, stretching, twisting, and deep breathing all play an important role in the programme, helping to stimulate the flow of lymph and blood so released toxins can move through the body more efficiently.
Yoga also encourages relaxation and activates the restorative parasympathetic nervous system, giving the body space to cleanse and heal itself. The deeper the detox, the more profound the effects of the yoga practice.
Exercise, Meditation and Relaxation
Evening workshops may include movement sessions and a fire ceremony inspired by the Sivananda tradition, alongside more traditional meditation practices.
These experiences support detoxification further by helping release physical, mental, and emotional tension. They encourage deeper relaxation and a greater sense of ease.
During the day, guests can swim, unwind, enjoy a therapy session, explore the surroundings, walk in the area, or help in the organic gardens. Once a week, there is also a trip to one of the beautiful local beaches.
There is a selection of videos and DVDs to enjoy, while the sauna is available in the early evening and the hot tub can be used throughout the day.
Therapies
A range of therapies is available to support toxin elimination and bring balance to the whole system. The sauna also supports cleansing through the skin. Treatments include:
