With more than 1,000 retreat participants since 2018, Inwardbound has become one of the leading names in psilocybin retreat experiences worldwide. This intimate group retreat is designed with a clear purpose: to help leaders realign with their true path, bringing words, thoughts, actions, and emotions into greater harmony. Once that alignment begins, the journey turns toward renewed vision.
Day 1: Meet at a central location in Amsterdam at 14:00 for private transfer to the retreat center. On arrival, settle into an evening of preparation, with the option of a nature walk or sauna, followed by dinner, an opening circle, and an early night.
Day 2 & Day 3: Start with morning yoga, meditation, and breathwork, then breakfast. There is time for a nature walk before the opening circle and preparation. In the afternoon, take part in the psilocybin ceremony. Evenings include reflection with the psychotherapist and facilitator, dinner, and integration practices such as art therapy, time in nature, or relaxing by the fire.
Day 4: Enjoy yoga, meditation, and breathwork in the morning, followed by breakfast. The day focuses on integration with the psychotherapist and facilitator, including 1:1 support, a connection lunch, and the option of a nature walk or sauna. In the evening, there is a cacao ceremony and body movement, followed by group dinner, with optional sauna time and moments around the fire pit.
Day 5: Complete the retreat with yoga, meditation, and breathwork, then breakfast. The closing circle includes mandala creation. Departure is at 12:30pm, with drop-off in central Amsterdam or at the airport on request.
To apply, you will need to complete a full screening form and pay a €1,500 deposit to secure your place. A consultation call with the psychotherapist will then be arranged to confirm suitability for the retreat.
The retreat takes place at a beautiful venue about one hour from Amsterdam. Set within an authentic 19th-century Dutch abbey, the accommodation offers a peaceful and inspiring setting. Every participant has a private room, along with generous shared spaces for journaling and relaxation. The quiet location creates ample opportunity for reflection and walks in nature, and the chapel is available for private reflection and meditation.
This is a typical programme outline. Every participant is different, and some activities may resonate more than others. There is no expectation to attend everything, and there is plenty of time for rest, nature, and personal reflection.
Consultations and group calls take place online via Google Meets.
