
Insight meditation, also known as Vipassana, offers a clear and accessible way to begin working with the breath and gently training attention. This approach helps quiet the mind, deepen concentration, and create a steadier sense of presence. At its core is mindfulness: a moment-to-moment awareness that is calm, open, and free from judgment. In addition to supporting greater ease in everyday life, this practice is also a spiritual path that can gradually open the way to wisdom and compassion.
In this introductory course, participants will receive the foundational instructions in a gradual sequence. The teaching begins with mindfulness of breathing and then moves through awareness of the body, emotions, thoughts, and mind. The course also explores how mindfulness can be applied in daily life and during retreats, offering a practical and inspiring introduction for those new to meditation as well as anyone looking to deepen their understanding.
