Welcome to a course designed to help you develop a more heart-centered way of speaking and relating.
Nonviolent Communication is an approach to thinking, language, and dialogue that Marshall Rosenberg described as a path back to our original nature.
Its purpose is to create a quality of contact with ourselves and with others that allows for empathic exchange. In this way, we begin to move beyond acting out of duty, pressure, guilt, shame, fear of punishment, or hope of reward, and instead learn to give freely and from the heart in what we do for ourselves and for others.
Rosenberg saw a natural joy in human nature: the joy of giving to one another and helping enrich life.
Although the process is simple in essence, with just a few steps and an intention for clarity and connection, it can also open the door to deep inner change. As awareness turns toward life itself, language and habits may begin to shift from within. This can bring up a great deal, and the process is not always easy. Nonviolent Communication offers a steady guide for both inner work and outer relationships.
During this course, you will learn how to apply Nonviolent Communication in everyday life. You will receive practical tools for expressing your feelings and needs, while also learning to listen to another person’s experience with an open heart. Through hands-on training and exercises, you will build skills in empathic communication and conflict resolution.
Nonviolent Communication centers on what is alive in us: our feelings and needs. You will learn to recognize and express what truly matters to you, creating greater clarity in your relationships and more authentic connection. At the same time, you will gain insight into how to stay present with another person’s pain without becoming overwhelmed by it.
The course will also support you in expanding your inner space. You will be given tools to remain calm even when the world around you feels tense or aggressive. The practice is about strengthening your ability to stay deeply connected to your own needs and the values you want to live by in the present relationship, while also holding space for the needs and feelings of others.
We work experientially, with a minimum of theory and a strong emphasis on practice. You will be guided to listen to your body and use its resonance as a compass for discovering what is real and true for you. This approach fosters a deeper connection with both yourself and others.
Whether you are facing small tensions or larger conflicts, Nonviolent Communication offers effective ways to address them constructively. You will learn how to transform anger and criticism into connection and understanding, creating solutions that meet everyone’s needs. This is especially valuable in the workplace, in families, and in relationships.
The course also gives you the chance to spend time with others who are engaged in the same process: living and exchanging resources of love and honesty. Within this community, you will find support and inspiration to continue your own development and practice in Nonviolent Communication.
We will touch on the spiritual dimension through contact with the universality of needs, where the key is to distinguish between strategies and needs. This opens us to what lives through us, shifts our focus toward the universal, and can bring a sense of relief in becoming a channel for the energy represented by our needs — the divine, in which we live and from which we act.
Nonviolent Communication was developed by American psychologist Marshall B. Rosenberg and is now recognized internationally. It helps us create wholehearted contact and cooperation, making it possible to resolve conflicts in a nonviolent way. When we focus on both our own feelings and needs and those of others, genuine communication becomes possible, along with solutions that honor everyone involved.
Come and join a journey that can bring you closer to your inner core and open access to the limitless resources of love and honesty that exist in all of us.
Are you ready to learn how to communicate from the heart?
We look forward to working with you!
