Healing Path to the Rainbow “Kuychi”
Cuzco – Perú
In the Andes, shamanic practice is closely tied to ritual work that helps shift personal reality. The shamans of Cuzco guide a sequence of ceremonies with the intention of creating meaningful change in life and supporting a better quality of living.
The rainbow has been deeply honored in the Andes since the time of the Incas. Wacas, or temples, were built in its name, and it has always been represented through its seven colors.
Among the Queros community, shamans honor the rainbow in their ceremonies using naturally dyed alpaca wool in rainbow colors.
Whether shown in wool or ribbons, these colors symbolize a bridge that connects the upper world, HANAQ PACHA, with the lower world, UJU PACHA.
For many shamans of Cusco, this natural phenomenon reflects a divine force that can bring abundance and strength to our intentions, especially when it remains present in Andean offerings.
The rainbow healing path teaches that the shaman places colored ribbons on specific points of the body, then performs prayers and energetic healing.
Its purpose is to balance inner energies through the power of the arociris, uniting the worlds above and below, and it is considered especially powerful for ancestral healing.
