FSC Forest Management Expert Course

Learn to understand the perspective of an FSC auditor — or prepare to become one yourself.

This intensive FSC Expert training is designed to build both the knowledge and mindset required of an FSC auditor. By joining our ASI-accredited FSC Forest Management course, you will meet the formal FSC Forest Management auditor training requirements while also gaining valuable insight into the FSC FM system.

The FSC Expert Course is made up of two separate trainings: one for Forest Management (FM) certification and one for Chain of Custody (CoC) certification. This registration applies to the FSC FM course.

The FSC FM course includes an online module followed by three days of intensive classroom training focused on FSC standards and systems for Forest Management certification.

Please note that the course is delivered in English. Participants should have sufficient language skills to actively take part in presentations, group exercises, discussions, and examinations.

Access to the online module is available only to paid participants and takes approximately three days to complete. The exam will be held online and supervised after the training.

Conditions for successful completion of the course

• For participants who are not aiming to obtain auditor qualification, completion of the exam and online modules is optional. However, we strongly recommend completing the online part in advance, as it supports a better understanding of the content and improves the overall classroom learning experience.
• To successfully complete the course, participants must pass the final exam. In accordance with FSC Requirements for Auditor Training Programmes, they must also attend the full duration of both the scheduled classroom training and the online module, and actively participate in group work and discussions throughout the course.

Course fee and discount options

The fee for this three-day classroom FSC FM training is 2,900 EUR, excluding accommodation and VAT. The price includes tuition, training materials, and meals during the course, including coffee breaks and lunches.

A special early bird offer is available at 2,610 EUR, which is 10% off the full price, for registrations and payments made no later than two months in advance. This offer is valid until 27 August 2026.

We also offer a 30% discount for NGOs, FSC Network Partners, and university or college staff and students. The discount code is NGO30. Only one discount may be applied per participant, and all discounts are calculated from the full course fee.

The training venue is Lielupe Hotel SPA & Conferences by Semarah. After registration, we will contact you with travel logistics and requirements, as well as information about accommodation options.

Cancellation

Cancellations are free of charge up to two weeks before the course begins. After that, a cancellation fee of 25% of the standard course fee will apply, unless otherwise specified.
