Framed by the Montagne Noire to the north, the Pyrenees to the south, and the Malepère and Corbières ranges together with the Mediterranean to the east, the region offers an exceptional richness of flora and fauna. These varied landscapes provide sanctuary for an extraordinary number of species, making the area truly distinctive.

The Razès is especially known for its orchids, at their best in May and June, as well as its birds of prey, which can be seen throughout the year. You may spend days exploring local trails filled with orchids and wildflowers, or visiting areas where birds of prey, wading birds along the coast, and meadow birds close to the accommodation are commonly found.

Join a 5-day walking option with the freedom to choose your routes, distances, and pace. Longer stays are available at a discounted rate.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

• Daily guided easy to moderate walks lasting from 2 to 8 hours, depending on your chosen routes and distances.
• Beautiful countryside on every walk.
• Opportunities to visit markets and medieval towns, swim in lakes and rivers, explore castles and caves, and enjoy wine tasting and excellent gastro restaurants.
• Welcome aperitif.

INCLUDED IN THE PRICE:

• Transfers from Carcassonne, Bram, Foix, or Castelnaudary airport/train station (supplement applies for other locations).
• All transport to and from all walks in the region, if not starting from the Razès Gîtes.
• Accommodation at the Razès Gîtes in fully equipped apartments.
• Entry fees for all Cathare castles where selected.
• Professional guide on all walks.

• Continental breakfasts and/or picnic lunches and/or evening meal.
