As dusk settles over Pura Dalem Ubud, the temple grounds take on a magical atmosphere with the Kecak Ramayana and Fire Dance. This celebrated performance begins at sunset, when dozens of men gather in a circle and fill the air with a deep, rhythmic chant that echoes through the open stage and draws you into the story.
Inspired by the Ramayana epic, the performance brings to life a world of heroes, demons, and mythical beings through expressive movement and richly detailed costumes. The experience builds toward the Fire Dance, where a barefoot dancer steps across glowing embers, a powerful symbol of devotion and the victory of spirit.
Presented twice each week, this one-hour performance offers far more than a night of entertainment. It is a meaningful cultural expression rooted in Balinese tradition. Set within the sacred atmosphere of the temple, it creates an unforgettable encounter with chant, flame, and legend beneath the evening sky.
