PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Over this nourishing weekend, you will engage in six accessible meditation and yoga practices, along with the philosophical foundations behind them. Each practice is intended to support resilience, openness, and steadiness in daily life. Through teachings, discussion, and direct practice, you will discover how each meditation form works and how they complement one another.

Stillness Meditation : Connected with serenity, stillness meditation helps settle an active mind by focusing on the breath, concentrating on one subject, or using a centering meditation to release painful emotions and unhelpful thought patterns.

Walking Meditation : At its heart, walking meditation is a study of time; here it is used to anchor awareness in the present moment.

The Three Moment Method TM : An accessible meditation practice for daily life, developed by Trungram Gyalwa Rinpoche.

Qigong : Beginning with Hunyuan Qigong, you will explore the role of mind-intent in developing, nurturing, gathering, moving, and storing Qi. You will also practice Zhanzhuang Gong, a standing meditation.

Reiki : Drawing from the meditative traditions of the Reiki System of Natural Healing, you will practice centering techniques and breathing exercises to deepen energy awareness and support energy flow.

Tibetan Singing Bowls : Sound and vibration from singing bowls can support deep relaxation, ease stress, and encourage a healthy flow of energy through the physical and etheric body.

Yoga : Mindful movement coordinated with the breath, followed by guided relaxation, offers a deeper understanding of the connection between body and mind and supports a profound sense of well-being.

Together, these practices create a strong mind-body foundation that can help transform everyday living.

Between sessions, enjoy the Center’s peaceful setting. Take in the view from the patio, go for a nearby hike, settle into a book in the library, or look up at the stars by the fire pit.
