With enriched air, your dive day can feel a little easier and a lot more efficient. This specialty course is designed to help you extend no-decompression limits, improve safety, and shorten surface intervals compared with diving on air.
Prerequisites
To join the program, you only need an Open Water or Junior Open Water certification. The course may also be offered alongside your Open Water or Junior Open Water certification program.
When is this program taught?
In general, classes are available on the first Thursday of each month. Private scheduling can also be arranged to suit your needs.
Is this course the same as a Scuba Skills Update?
Although the Enriched Air Nitrox Diver Specialty includes a review of dive planning, it is not a replacement for a Scuba Skills Update. The latter also covers dive planning, a review of physiology, and a review of basic scuba skills.
What equipment do I need?
For the most part, this is a classroom-only course. That said, we recommend making a Nitrox dive to reinforce the concepts and planning covered during training. If you choose to dive, you will need your Total Diving System, either your own or rented.
