A rare beginner-friendly darkroom retreat with Grandmaster Mantak Chia, held in the world’s most advanced Taoist darkness facility.
For 5 or 10 days, you step into a purpose-built Taoist Darkroom created specifically for meditation and Inner Alchemy practice. After the first introduction day, you live in complete darkness, free from artificial light and digital stimulation. With no visual input and far fewer distractions, the nervous system naturally turns inward, encouraging deep rest, quieter thoughts, and a profound reset of your inner rhythm.
Under Grandmaster Mantak Chia’s step-by-step guidance, you practice core Universal Healing Tao methods, including the Inner Smile, Six Healing Sounds, Tan Tien meditation, the Microcosmic Orbit, and Sexual Energy Transformation. In darkness, inner perception becomes sharper, and Qi circulation can be felt more clearly and directly.
Throughout the retreat, you follow a structured Taoist Pi Gu nutrition protocol with three specially prepared meals per day to support detox, stability, and inner clarity. This is a carefully guided Inner Alchemy training experience, designed to help you rest deeply, regulate your energy system, and reconnect with your inner awareness in a safe and supportive setting at Tao Garden, Chiang Mai.

Schedule: 27–30 August | Workshops with Grandmaster Mantak Chia.
What You Will Learn: How to practice Fusion of the Five Elements in complete darkness; how to clear and harmonize organ energy and emotional patterns; how to open and purify the main energy channels; how to condense organ Qi into the Inner Pearl; how to strengthen the Energy Body; and how to connect internal organ energy with planetary and universal forces.
Modern life overstimulates the nervous system through screens, artificial light, mental overload, and emotional stress. This darkroom retreat offers a controlled reset. By removing external light and reducing sensory input, the body can shift toward internal regulation, sleep can deepen, and mental noise can settle. For many participants, this becomes the foundation for meaningful Inner Alchemy practice.
This retreat is especially valuable for those who want to step away from constant stimulation, reset sleep cycles, activate the Lower Tan Tien, experience meditation in complete darkness, and transform stress into usable life-force energy through Taoist methods.
This retreat is designed for participants ready to enter structured Darkroom training and explore Taoist Inner Alchemy in an immersive environment. It is suitable for those who want to deepen meditation practice, build a stable energetic foundation, work with emotional tension through Inner Smile, Six Healing Sounds, and Fusion of the Five Elements, and study directly with Grandmaster Mantak Chia within the Universal Healing Tao system.
This retreat is not intended for those seeking entertainment, dramatic visions, or instant transformation without discipline. It is also not suitable for people uncomfortable with complete darkness, sensory withdrawal, or following dietary and retreat guidelines.
