Fiji McAplpine
Fiji McAlpine is an ERYT 500 yoga instructor and one of the original teachers featured on DoYogaWithMe.com. Over the years, her online presence has expanded significantly, giving her a global reach and allowing her to guide thousands of students each week through the platform. Today, Fiji is dedicating more of her time and energy to creating a more personal experience for the many people who have practiced with her for years. She has led retreats and workshops around the world, connecting with her international yoga community and sharing her passion for the practice. Her personal practice and classes are rooted in vinyasa flow, with an emphasis on power, strength, and precision. Trained extensively in California, Costa Rica, and Canada, her teaching is often described as strong and supportive, encouraging students to meet challenge with confidence, guidance, and greater awareness. Over the past decade, yoga has played an important role in Fiji’s own healing and transformation, and she openly shares how it became a vital tool as she recovered from an eating disorder.

These are Guest Rooms with a loft shared by four women. The women’s dorm is offered at a guaranteed rate; as a result, Mar de Jade reserves the right to assign roommates from different retreats in order to fill the dorm, or to reassign participants to a guest room single or double if the dorm does not fill.

Inside, the room is thoughtfully appointed for a restful stay, with a comfortable sitting area and a futon that can be converted into an extra bed when needed. Each room also includes an en-suite bathroom with natural bath amenities for a simple touch of wellness and ease.
Please note that these rooms are located on high floors and require steps to access. For larger groups, a limited number of two-bedroom Ocean View suites are available.

Located on both the ground and third floors, these rooms are available in either jungle-facing or garden-facing settings, allowing guests to choose the environment that best suits their stay.

Designed for guests who want a simple, spacious stay, these large loft rooms work especially well for families or groups of three to four sharing dorm-style accommodations. The lower level includes either a king bed or two twin beds, along with a private bathroom, while the loft above is reached by a spiral staircase and offers two twin beds. In some rooms, an additional futon bed is also available on the main floor for extra flexibility.
Depending on the room, views open either toward the gardens or the jungle, adding a peaceful natural backdrop to your stay. Please note that the loft is not recommended for children under 5 years old or for guests with mobility issues. Minimum occupancy is 3 people, including children.
