Receive personal guidance to help you connect more deeply with your body, bond with your baby, and prepare for a gentle, loving pregnancy and postpartum journey.
You have spoken with a midwife or obstetrician, asked your questions, and watched countless videos about breathing during labor. You understand what matters, yet you still do not feel fully ready.
What is often missing is embodied practice — the kind your body can rely on instinctively during labor.
If you would like to practice in your own time and space, I can come to you and support you in learning more about your body and your baby, easing pregnancy-related discomfort, and releasing fear through shared experience.
You are invited to move freely, enjoy the moment, and connect with your baby in the comfort and safety of your home.
Your body is wise and capable. It is growing a life, producing milk to nourish that life, and it also knows how to bring that life into the world.
As you learn to recognize what your body’s changes are telling you, trust begins to grow. That trust and connection become powerful tools for taking ownership of your birth experience.
In Mama Dance, we meet the changing body with curiosity rather than fear. Through movement, pelvic floor awareness, and breath-led release, we explore a range of techniques that create a personalized toolkit for labor. This helps you support yourself and your baby moment by moment, while strengthening muscle memory and intuition.
Pain usually asks for one of two things: rest or movement.
As your relationship with your body deepens, you will learn to notice what it needs and try different ways to ease discomfort. That awareness can become a precious guide during labor.
To prepare the body for birth, we practice active positions such as standing, sitting, kneeling, and all fours. We also use the voice to soften the pelvic floor. Music and movement inspired by the Caribbean, Africa, and the Orient help ease lower back pain and bring more freedom to the body.
When you know how to transform discomfort into easeful movement, you can feel more confident in your body’s strength during labor and recovery.
Pregnancy often becomes a rush of tasks: work, preparing the baby room, and finishing everything before the baby arrives. In 1-on-1 coaching, we make space to slow down, listen to your body’s wisdom, and ask the questions you may not know where else to bring.
We draw inspiration and affirmation cards to give voice to your deepest thoughts and feelings. At the end of the session, we dance the “baby welcoming dance,” a gentle ritual of hugging yourself and your baby while expressing love through words and movement.
These are moments of real connection — the kind that warm the heart and create a memorable pregnancy experience.
During guided relaxation, I invite you to speak to your baby and tell them they are loved, welcomed, and awaited with all your heart.
And beyond that, you gain direct connection with someone who has experienced an empowering birth and can share knowledge, support, and perspective.
Your journey begins with a free 45-minute discovery call. I will ask about you and your current experience, and I will also share a few movement tips and a short choreography so you can get a feel for the sessions.
After that, we meet for 3 weekly sessions of 75 minutes, at a day and time that suits you — morning, afternoon, or early evening. Sessions can take place in your home or in the studio, whichever feels more relaxing and enjoyable.
Together, we set clear objectives for the sessions, such as:
One of the 3 sessions can include your partner, so they can practice their role during labor.
After the initial package, you may choose to continue for more practice. I highly recommend continuing until birth and returning after birth with your baby. You may also join the Mama Dance group class after the first 3 sessions for the added support of a community.
The first 3 sessions are offered as a package for 181,50 euros. Payment options and continuation can be discussed according to your needs.
Book a discovery call to talk about your needs.
Your 45-minute discovery call is free.
LORENA P.W.
I loved my experience with Mama Dance. I was able to create a meditative atmosphere for my baby’s arrival through the movements, the music, and the contact with my husband. I was so grateful. Without the tips, movements, and breathing techniques I learned in class, my baby’s arrival would have been much more stressful.
AUDE CARPENTIER
At my request, Katerina came to my house. We spoke about my home birth plans and drew my cards. What I remember most is that I started moving again. The pain in my back and lower back eased, and I felt as if I had regained some control over my heavy body.
I got to know my baby through movement: when he moved, how often, and how I felt when he moved. I realized that when I felt happy — often after moving or dancing — he seemed happier too.
During postpartum, when my baby would not sleep, my intuition guided me to dance him to sleep, to hum, and to move — sometimes with high energy, sometimes slowly, depending on what I needed.
Touch and closeness helped me feel connected to myself and to him. He was born small, and through our little dances, I was able to heal some of the fear I felt in those first weeks.
Supporting the mama-baby connection through dance helped me trust my baby, my body, and our bond. By tuning into what my body was already doing naturally — growing and caring for a baby — I could access my own wisdom, trust human nature, and trust myself.
During labor, we were a team.
In postpartum, I learned to trust my recovery, be gentle with myself, and resist pressure from social expectations around my body and my baby’s nourishment.
Mama Dance is open to moms from the moment they learn they are expecting until they are holding their baby in their arms.
I want you to feel relaxed and prepared for birth, to understand your options, and to follow your intuition. I want you to feel supported and at ease among other women who accept you, rather than isolated and alone.
Most of all, I want you to consciously enjoy pregnancy, cherish the moments when your baby needs you most, and stay connected to your instincts while navigating all the dos and don’ts.
I want you to make informed and courageous decisions about the birth and postpartum experience you want and need.
Not at all. If you are pregnant or in postpartum and willing to move to music, you are perfectly ready for Mama Dance.
Yes. You will always have the option to modify an exercise or rest when needed. You may join from the first trimester, as long as you feel good in your body. You will learn to follow your body’s signals, continue when it feels right, and pause when it feels overwhelming. We never force the body to move when it needs rest.
A minimum of four weeks is advisable, but the most important thing is to check in with your body and see what feels possible. We do not want to force recovery; we want to allow the body to heal and support that healing process. The breathing and relaxation techniques can help with muscle tension and mental or emotional challenges during postpartum. Dancing the same songs with your baby on the outside can also feel warm and comforting, while supporting bonding.
As far as I know, no. You may wish to check with your health care provider to be sure. In the Netherlands, it can depend on the additional coverage in your health insurance package.
Yes, all amounts listed above include 21% tax as charged in the Netherlands. Invoices for companies are also possible.
