A restorative women’s day retreat designed to help you pause, reset, and reconnect with yourself.
On the surface, life may seem fine. But inside, do you still feel like you?
This retreat was created for the woman whose world looks steady from the outside, yet who feels increasingly distant from herself within it.
It is for the woman who keeps coping, keeps showing up, and keeps everything moving, while sensing that something deeper is asking for attention and space.
This is more than a pause in the day. It is a carefully held space to soften, listen, and return to the woman beneath the holding, helping, pleasing, and performing.
With heart-opening practices, soulful guidance, and a beautiful countryside setting, you will leave feeling lighter, clearer, and more connected to your own truth.
What makes this retreat special is not only the practices themselves, but the way the space is held.
You may feel ready if you are:
You do not need to arrive with answers. You only need to be willing to come.
The day is designed as a full mind-body-soul immersion, with each element chosen intentionally to support emotional healing and inner reconnection. Rather than a series of separate activities, it unfolds as one continuous journey back to yourself. Some of the meditation journeys are experienced through wireless headphones, creating a more intimate experience within the group setting.
The retreat is woven around four pillars: mind, body, emotions, and energy. Each practice is selected to help you release what no longer serves, reclaim clarity, and reconnect with your power.
Arrive, settle in, and set your intentions in a gentle, unhurried opening.
A soft, supportive practice to reconnect with your body, ease tension, and return to yourself through breath and movement.
Energy healing is carried through the day, with a group opening and individual support during the closing.
Cacao, a heart-opening plant medicine, will be offered as part of the opening.
This coaching session gently explores people-pleasing, overgiving, self-abandonment, and good-girl conditioning as learned ways of seeking safety, acceptance, love, or belonging.
A deeply restful immersive experience to support integration as sound moves through the body and energy field.
A guided meditation to reconnect with younger parts of yourself with tenderness and compassion.
A nurturing meditation to reconnect with the feminine, the body, and the emotional wisdom within.
A soulful closing ritual to receive, settle, and anchor the clarity and intention you are invited to carry forward.
A wholesome lunch is included, with all dietary requirements catered for. Herbal teas and refreshments are available throughout the day.

Meet Joanne
Joanne is the founder of The Zen Academy & Flourish retreats and the creator of Flourish.
She brings together emotional healing, energy work, coaching, spiritual guidance, and nervous system support in a way that feels grounded and soulful.
Flourish was created from the understanding that women need spaces where they do not have to perform, hold it all together, or be anything other than fully themselves.
It is not just a pause from life, but a return to self: a sanctuary for healing, reconnection, and remembrance.
What if I do not feel comfortable participating in part of the day?
You are welcome to take part in as much or as little as you would like. If you need time out at any point, that is absolutely fine, and personal support will be available throughout the day.
Do I need to bring any mats, blankets, or cushions?
All mats, blankets, and cushions are provided for the meditation and yoga practices. You are welcome to bring anything extra that will help you feel comfortable. Chairs are available if preferred.
What should I wear?
Please wear loose, comfortable clothing, with layers in case you get warm. Shoes are removed inside the yurt, so socks are recommended. Please also bring a jumper, as some meditation and yoga practices may take place outside if the weather allows, and definitely for the fire-pit release ritual.
Can I pay a deposit and then pay later?
Yes, a deposit of 70 pounds can be paid, with the full amount due 10 days before the retreat day. A payment link for the remaining balance will be sent closer to the date. Deposits are non-refundable, though a transfer to another date will be attempted if possible.
Will refreshments be provided?
All drinks, snacks, and lunch are included in the price, and dietary requirements and allergies can be catered for.
Is there parking at the venue?
Yes, there is plenty of parking at Cowslip Meadows, and instructions will be sent nearer the retreat.
What if I am running late or cannot attend?
If you are going to be late, please let the host know, as the retreat may need to begin before your arrival depending on the delay. If you are unable to attend, the event is non-refundable, though your space may be filled if there is enough notice.
Are there any restrictions for attending the retreat?
While the retreat is intended to be accessible, it may not be suitable for pregnancy, sound-induced seizures, tinnitus, or severe mental health conditions. If you are unsure, please reach out to discuss suitability.
Cacao suitability will also be checked before the ceremony. If you have a heart condition, you may not be able to participate, so please contact the host before booking if you are unsure.

I know what it feels like to be disconnected from yourself, to question your worth, and to believe that life is simply something to endure. For a long time, I chased external markers of success — a corporate career, a beautiful home, the appearance of having it all together — while feeling unfulfilled on the inside. Like many people, I...
