This intensive residential training from Yoga Chaitanya International Institute brings together two complementary yoga paths—dynamic Ashtanga/Vinyasa and reflective Yin—to shape teachers who are adaptable, well-rounded, and integration-focused. The programme usually runs for 23 days and follows Yoga Alliance RYS® 200 standards.
Course Overview
Across 23 days, you will explore strength, flexibility, and awareness, while learning how to embody the balance of effort and ease in both practice and teaching.
- Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga: Study the Primary Series as taught by K. Pattabhi Jois, with attention to posture alignment, transitions, bandhas, and drishti. The training also covers modifications and anatomy-informed adjustments so the practice can be approached by students of different levels.
- Yin Yoga Module: This module offers a deeper look at long-held floor postures, fascia release, and meridian theory rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine. It examines how stillness and surrender support nervous system balance and strengthen emotional resilience.
- Anatomy & Alignment: Modern biomechanics is woven together with yogic understanding to explore the musculoskeletal system, safe cueing, and the functional differences between bodies.
- Philosophy & Lifestyle: The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, Hatha Yoga Pradipika, and Bhagavad Gita provide the philosophical foundation of the course, with teachings that bring ancient ethics into modern life.
- Pranayama & Meditation: Daily breath control practice, kriyas, mantra chanting, and mindfulness meditation techniques help cultivate concentration and inner clarity.
- Teaching Methodology: Learn to create multi-level classes, offer clear verbal cues, sequence balanced sessions, manage group energy, and develop confidence as a teacher.
- Practicum & Assessment: Each trainee leads several classes under expert supervision, building readiness to teach Ashtanga Vinyasa, Vinyasa Flow, and Yin Yoga internationally.
- Self-Healing Swadhaya Meditation Module: In the final week, you will experience a range of meditations and healing techniques. You will also complete a questionnaire designed to support deeper self-understanding, helping you heal and build more meaningful relationships with yourself and others.
