Step away for a week of Ashtanga yoga and island living.
Set on a secluded island with a small group, this retreat offers the rare feeling of having the world to yourself.
This is not an escape — it is a return to yourself.
This Ashtanga yoga retreat on the Pakleni Islands includes daily gentle Ashtanga yoga classes, seaside meditation, Yin Yoga, breathwork, restorative yoga, island hopping around the Pakleni Islands and Hvar, Shakti dance, meditation walks, healing mud experiences, massages, authentic local dinners, and plenty of free time to rest and enjoy the surroundings.
A small Ashtanga yoga retreat on a wild, secluded island in the Adriatic Sea.
Far from crowds and schedules, this retreat invites you into a simple rhythm of practice, rest, nature, and presence. Days begin with meditation by the sea and gentle Ashtanga yoga, followed by long brunches, saltwater swims, island walks, and time to simply be.
With only seven participants, the setting is intimate and supportive, offering space to deepen your practice, explore breath and movement, and reconnect with yourself through silence, simplicity, and nature.
Between yoga sessions, life moves slowly — resting in hammocks, swimming in hidden bays, walking in meditation, sharing meals, stories, and sunsets.
This is not a performance retreat. It is an invitation to practice honestly, live barefoot, and remember how little you actually need.
A week of Ashtanga, sea, sun, and quiet freedom — at the very edge of the island.

Welcome to Croatia!
The group meets at Hvar’s main square at 4 pm, then continues to the island by private speedboat. After settling into your rooms and getting familiar with the surroundings, the retreat begins with an introduction circle and a gentle yoga class.
The first day ends with a homemade dinner served on the villa’s porch, surrounded by greenery.
Start early to catch the first light of day with meditation by the sea. You are welcome to join a later practice based on the Ashtanga yoga method.
After the morning practice, enjoy a long and relaxed brunch.
The afternoon is free for massages, reading in a hammock, or swimming in the Adriatic Sea.
At sunset, Lisa leads a pranayama workshop focused on the power of breath and how to bring it into daily life and asana practice.
Dinner is prepared by the chef.
The day begins with meditation by the sea, a light and spacious yoga practice, and a healthy veggie brunch.
Later, the group visits Soline Beach, known for its ancient Roman spa. Here, you can experience the healing mud, famous for leaving the skin soft and smooth. Back at the villa, the day continues with a restorative yoga practice and another delicious dinner.
Begin with sunrise meditation and a gentle Ashtanga yoga practice, followed by a rich and slow brunch.
The afternoon is dedicated to a meditation walk across the island. Walking in silence allows for a deeper connection with the natural elements and with yourself.
Back home, enjoy a relaxing Yin Yoga session.
The day closes with dinner and a bonfire sharing circle.
The morning rhythm stays the same: meditation by the sea, gentle and therapeutic Ashtanga yoga, and brunch.
Today includes island hopping around the Pakleni Islands and Hvar, with snorkeling in hidden bays and refreshments at beach bars.
For dinner, the group walks to a nearby bay and dines at Fisherman’s House, known for local produce, fresh sea-caught fish, and garden vegetables.
After a yoga class and a nourishing brunch, the rest of the day is yours.
If you feel like adventure, you may join a boat trip to the famous Blue Cave. This excursion includes five island-hopping stops, among them Stiniva Beach and Komiža Village, known from the filming of Mama Mia.
In the evening, unwind with Lisa’s dance class and a sunset surprise, followed by dinner at the villa.
The final day begins with meditation and yoga, followed by a reflective circle on the week’s sensations in the wild Mediterranean.
Recharged and renewed, you are ready to return to everyday life.
The group is escorted back to Hvar, where you can choose your next step — return home, or stay on in Croatia.
The Cricket House is located just a 20-minute boat ride from Hvar Island. There are no cars on the Pakleni Islands, and the villa has no neighbors. It includes a large living room, kitchen, spacious dining room, four bedrooms, and five bathrooms. Two bedrooms are on the ground floor with double beds and en-suite bathrooms. Upstairs, there is a triple room and a twin room, both with en-suite bathrooms.
Surrounding the house is a spacious Mediterranean garden with herbs, figs, and olive trees. The wild garden is equipped with hammocks and deck chairs, making it an ideal place to enjoy nature and silence. A private beach is only a five-minute walk away.
There is also an option to stay in a tent and use the house bathroom. If you are interested, a tent can be provided for you.
Meals are prepared with fresh, seasonal ingredients from local farmers in support of the local economy.
During your stay, you will enjoy two generous daily meals prepared by the in-house chef. Brunches and dinners are mainly vegetarian and vegan. Gluten-free options are available — please share any special needs in advance.
Coffee, tea, fruit, and snacks are available throughout the day.
Pakleni Island is a beautiful chain of wooded isles stretching out in front of Hvar town.
Although the name literally means “Hell’s Islands,” it is believed to come from “paklina,” a pine resin once harvested here to waterproof boats. This is an island landscape covered in lush Mediterranean forest, with dazzling waters and very few tourists. Expect some of the clearest water, deep blue caves, and pristine white sandy beaches all to yourself.
If you are looking for a true break, this is the place to relax and experience island life at its most authentic.
