An intimate ceremony devoted to the spirit of wind, known in the Andes as “Wayra,” invites participants into a sacred experience of connection, intention, and spiritual renewal.
Cuzco – Perú
In Andean tradition, the wind is deeply honored as a protective force that supports healing of the mind and heart. During this ceremony, the shaman carries out a psychomagic act by casting coca leaves and colored flowers into the sky, allowing the wind to receive personal requests and good wishes held within each leaf and breath.
Guests are invited to take part by mirroring the ritual and offering music and spiritual healing to the universe, opening space for blessings to return into daily life.
Sound plays an essential role throughout the ceremony. Flutes, quenas, panpipes, and other instruments help create a powerful atmosphere, calling in the presence of the “spirit of the wind” and carrying desires and longings outward with intention.
