Set in the calm and sacred atmosphere of the Himalayas, the program offers a supportive space for deep study and inner transformation while you stay in comfortable, traditional surroundings. It is designed to help participants strengthen physical, mental, and spiritual practices on the path toward becoming certified yoga teachers.
Located in Rishikesh, widely known as both the spiritual capital and the yoga capital of the world, the school is approved by Yoga Alliance and is committed to sharing the wisdom of authentic yoga. The faculty includes certified, highly experienced yoga teachers who offer focused and separate courses to guide students toward confidence, knowledge, and teaching skill.
This 100-hour course is ideal for practitioners who want to deepen their own practice or begin their journey as yoga teachers. Completed in 2 weeks, it introduces the key foundations of yoga through philosophy, human anatomy, asanas, and teaching instruction. The peaceful setting, shaped by Rishikesh’s long yoga tradition and the foothills of the Himalayas beside the holy Ganga, makes it an inspiring place to study.
Swadharma Yogshala approaches yoga as a complete way of life. The curriculum is carefully designed to offer a balanced learning experience for both aspiring teachers and dedicated practitioners. Students explore philosophy, anatomy, posture, breath, and meditation through a blend of traditional teaching and contemporary best practices.
The daily routine is structured to include yoga classes, meditation, and time for rest and reflection. Mornings begin with asana and breathwork, followed by breakfast and classes in mantra, alignment, yoga philosophy, anatomy, and teaching methodology. Afternoons include rest, practice, and further study, while evenings close with meditation and dinner.
The syllabus covers asana practice, pranayama, meditation, yoga philosophy, anatomy and physiology, relaxation techniques, mudra and bandhas, and teaching methodology. Students study Hatha Yoga and Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, explore breath control methods such as Bhastrika, Kapalbhati, Anulom Vilom, Suryabhedi, and Chandrabhedi, and learn relaxation practices including Yoga Nidra. The course also introduces chakra awareness, Kundalini, karma, and nadi concepts, along with hands-on alignment, adjustments, and modifications.
