Edgar Espartza, Indigenous Shaman & 5th-Gen Healer

A 5th-generation indigenous healer with 20 years of experience, Edgar carries forward the most powerful Amazonian rituals. He has been learning healing ceremonies and plant medicine traditions since childhood as part of his cultural, religious, and family heritage. Gentle and compassionate, he leads with care and helps create a profound spiritual healing experience in an authentic environment.

Claudia Torres, Shaman

Claudia is an experienced and compassionate healer in the Mayan Riviera, with 10 years of experience working with Amazonian healing plants. Originally from Mexico City, she trained with elders in Yucatan and has called the Mayan Riviera home for the past decade. Her approach is gentle and insightful, helping foster deep trust in her guidance.

Juan Ruben, Shaman

Although born in Mexico, Juan studied and practiced plant healing in the Brazilian Amazon under the guidance of respected indigenous masters. He often prepares remedies from scratch. Today, he lives in Mexico and serves as a resident healer at addiction rehab centers and Aloee Wellness. He is often joined by his partner, and together they perform live music during the healing ceremony, creating a truly transcendent experience.

Retreat pass venue details

Lunah Ekumal Sanctuary: Located in Akumal, just 20 minutes outside Tulum.

Set in a natural setting with a touch of luxury, Ekumal offers a variety of accommodations. For group ceremonies, we use affordable bunk-bed dorms with separate restrooms and hot water showers, plus a dedicated ceremony shala and outdoor terrace. Guests with private bookings may choose from a range of accommodations, booked separately with the venue, from budget-friendly options to luxury villas. Private guests also enjoy access to refreshing pools, delicious meals, a yoga shala, and a lookout tower with stunning sunrise and sunset views. Only open for scheduled appointments. No walk-in.
