Recharge body and spirit with a signature yoga and stand up paddleboarding retreat in the heart of Ontario’s Algonquin Park.
This beloved retreat is offered twice each summer, during August Long Weekend and Labour Day Weekend.
As summer reaches its fullest expression, this experience invites you to pause, slow down, and take in the season with intention. It’s a chance to rest, integrate, and align with nature’s pace while renewing both body and mind. Set within an eco-retreat on scenic Kawawaymog Lake, the retreat combines daily yoga sessions with stand up paddleboarding in a beautiful wilderness setting.
Open to all experience levels, from beginner to advanced, the retreat offers space to explore movement and stillness in equal measure. You may find yourself resting in savasana beneath a sky full of stars, stretching into the morning sun on the dock, or discovering something new as you paddle along the edge of Algonquin Park.
Yoga classes may take place in the lakeside studio, on the dock, and perhaps even on blueberry island. SUP and yoga offerings are designed to welcome participants of every level.

Meals & Dietary Needs
Meals at the Edge are part of the experience, with storytelling that highlights the seasonal flavours of the region and the people who grow and raise ingredients close to home. The kitchen balances globally inspired tastes with provincially produced foods, and meals are served buffet style. When weather allows, guests often enjoy lakeside dining outdoors.
Many dietary needs have been accommodated over the years. Guests are asked to share dietary preferences and restrictions during registration, and those with special requirements will find plenty of thoughtful options.
Itinerary & Program Timings
Each retreat is shaped by the interests of the group, seasonal conditions, and special opportunities that may arise, creating a tailored experience rather than a fixed schedule.
Expect a blend of dreamtime, adventure, community, creativity, nature, and a touch of surprise. Guests are always welcome to choose solo time or rest time instead of planned activities.
Meals are generally served at 8:30, 12:30, and 6pm. When appropriate, optional early-morning or late-night experiences may also be offered.
Arrival Time & Directions
Arrival is between 2 and 3 pm, with programming beginning at 3:30. Guests are encouraged to arrive on time and stay through the full retreat, which generally concludes after brunch on the final day. Please let the team know if you expect to arrive after 3.
What to Bring
Because time will be spent both indoors and outdoors, guests are encouraged to dress for the season and come prepared to stay comfortable, warm, and dry. There is no dress code, and most people wear retreat-casual clothing.
Guests are also invited to bring a surprise to share, such as a game, activity, instrument, song, poem, or a tasty treat.
