




25 DAYS, 200 Hours so Shanti Yoga Teacher Training
Set in the Himalayas, this 200-hour teacher training is designed for those seeking a deep, traditional immersion in yoga. Created by Himalayan Master Yogi Bijay, so Shanti Yoga shares more than 20 years of experience through a healing, spiritual, and holistic approach. The program brings ancient yogic science into the modern age by weaving together asana, pranayama and kriya, meditation, mudra, bandhas, and mantra chanting in a carefully sequenced practice that supports the five layers of the self.
Over 25 days, students are invited into a life-changing journey where time slows down and inner exploration becomes the focus. In a nourishing environment shared with like-minded seekers of spiritual growth, you will study yoga in depth with passionate teachers and gain a broader understanding of this timeless tradition.
The training follows a traditional and authentic approach rooted in more than 5,000 years of yogic science. It is organized into the following modules:
This module covers the ethical and philosophical foundations of yoga, including the origins of yoga, philosophical schools, classic paths, major texts, the Eight Limbs of Raja Yoga, Kundalini, Tantra, the five koshas, three bodies, three gunas, the mind of the aspirant, the three types of teachers and students, the seven bhumikas, the four paths of yoga, the purpose of yoga, levels of mind, time and space, the Absolute, the evolution of prakriti, and the self as existence, knowledge, and bliss.
Students are introduced to yoga asana through beginner, intermediate, and advanced groups, including Pawanmukta Series, standing postures, Surya Namaskara, Chandra Namaskara, backbends, forward bends, twists, inversions, balancing poses, mudra, and bandha practices, along with Kapalbhati, Kunjal Kriya, and Tratak.
This section explores the meaning and practice of pranayama, natural breathing, abdominal, thoracic, and complete yogic breathing, single and alternate nostril breathing, Chandra Nadi, Surya Nadi, Nadi Shodhana, Ujjayi, and Sheetali pranayama. It also includes practice of 20 main Kundalini kriyas.
Students study the structure and qualities of the seven chakras in detail, including underactive, overactive, blocked, and balanced states. The module includes healing techniques, food, sound healing, color therapy, crystal therapy, aromatherapy, chakra-based asana, meditation, prana training, the five koshas, the subtle body, and practice sets for each chakra.
This module offers a complete understanding of meditation through theory and practice, including mindfulness (Vipassana), heartfulness (Pranahuti), transcendental meditation, Zen meditation, loving kindness meditation, breath awareness, body scan, Kundalini meditation, Tantra meditation, object concentration, and chakra meditation.
Yoga Nidra theory includes its origins, traditions, philosophy, the three bodies, five pranas, five koshas, seven chakras, effects on brainwaves and the nervous system, themes and sankalpas, comparisons with meditation and hypnosis, and its use for healing.
Topics include shoulder movement, scapula movement, spine and pelvis, and the hip joint, along with subtle yogic anatomy such as chakras, nadis, the three bodies, five koshas, and body planes.
This module introduces the meaning and history of ayurveda, the definition of health, causes of disease, tridosha imbalance, agni, ama, trimalas, balanced eating, Ayurvedic constitution, and the relationship between digestion, nutrition, the mind-body connection, and holistic health.
Students are introduced to Kundalini Tantra, including what Kundalini is, risks and precautions, rules and preparation, eligibility, yogic diet, meditation, nadis, chakra perception, awakening methods, and practices involving herbs, mantra, pranayama, austerity, tantrik practices, shaktipat, raja yoga, and by birth.
This optional module includes Om Tryambakam, Shanti mantras, guru prayers, Vishnu, Krishna, Rama, Shiva, Devi, and Guru kirtans, meal prayer, and concluding mantras.
Note: The training teaches ancient Tantra, not Neotantra, which emerged after the 1960s.

His holistic approach blends traditional yogic discipline with practical tools for self-awareness, stability, and healing. Introduced to yoga in childhood, his path deepened through years of study and lived practice, and a powerful Kundalini awakening about a decade ago led him into a period of simplicity, ashram living, and traditional discipline. He is the author of Inner Siddhi, a book on stillness, coherence, and self-mastery, and specializes in asana, pranayama, kriya, meditation, yoga philosophy, Kundalini, chakra work, Hatha Yoga, Vedic chanting, and Tantra-inspired practices.
