The route begins among Thanedar’s apple orchards, continues through the tranquil cedar forests of Sojha near Jalori Pass, and ends in the pristine Tirthan Valley, the gateway to the Great Himalayan National Park. Day 1 – Arrival in Thanedar | Apple Orchards & Colonial Calm
Arrive in Thanedar at approx. 7,700 ft (2,347 m) and transfer to your stay. The afternoon is ideal for wandering through apple orchards and peaceful village paths while taking in Thanedar’s calm mountain setting. Visit the historic Stokes Orchard and a nearby colonial-era church. The evening is left open for rest, mountain views, and the crisp air of the orchards. Dinner and overnight stay in Thanedar.
Day 2 – Thanedar Sightseeing | Hatu Peak Trails & Sacred Lakes
Drive toward Hatu Mata Temple (10 km | ~30 mins), then continue with a short forest hike that opens up panoramic Himalayan views. The day goes on with a look at old silk route trails, followed by visits to Tani Jubbar Lake and Nag Devta Temple, both surrounded by serene cedar forests. This day combines easy walking with cultural discovery. Return to Thanedar by evening for a relaxed overnight stay.
Day 3 – Thanedar to Sojha | Into the Cedar Forests
Leave Thanedar for Sojha (150 km | 6–7 hrs), a quiet hamlet near Jalori Pass. As the road climbs into dense deodar forests, the surroundings grow cooler and greener. Arrive in Sojha at approx. 7,700 ft (2,347 m) and spend the evening unwinding in the stillness of the forest and the mountain air. Dinner and overnight stay in Sojha.
Day 4 – Sojha & Jalori Pass | Serolsar Lake Hike
Drive to Jalori Pass (12 km | ~45 mins) at 10,800 ft (3,292 m), then begin the scenic hike to Serolsar Lake (moderate, 5 km one way). The trail passes through oak and rhododendron forests before reaching the peaceful alpine lake. Return to Sojha by afternoon for rest and leisure. The evening is free for forest walks or stargazing. Overnight stay in Sojha.
Day 5 – Sojha to Tirthan Valley | Village Trails & Heritage Towers
Travel from Sojha to Tirthan Valley (35 km | ~1 hr). After check-in, take a short village hike to Chehni Kothi, an ancient Himalayan tower. Continue with gentle walks along the Tirthan River, where clear waters and forested scenery create a peaceful setting. The evening is free to spend by the riverside. Dinner and overnight stay in Tirthan.
Day 6 – Tirthan Valley | GHNP Trails & Riverside Leisure
Spend the day exploring trails near the Great Himalayan National Park, with optional guided nature walks through forests known for their flora and birdlife.
