Celebrate the goddess energy of Lesvos, a beautiful island setting for rest, renewal, and connection.
Greece has long been a beloved destination, and recent challenges have created unexpected opportunities. That means exceptional accommodations at very good prices, while also supporting the island’s economy and a family-run business at a time when it matters most. Lesvos is also known for the Pope’s 2015 visit, when he brought words of hope and solidarity to refugees staying on the island. The area where we will stay is beautiful and free of refugee issues.
We will spend 7 nights / days at the lovely Milelja Yoga Retreat Center on Lesvos. The property offers a sacred round yoga den, a beautiful swimming pool, peaceful grounds for wandering, a sauna, and wonderful meals. Retreat groups return year after year, which made this space especially difficult to reserve — a strong sign of its quality. It is a 10-minute walk to the beach and a 15-minute walk to the charming town of Molyvos, known for its Greek atmosphere and excellent food.
Milelja provides a special setting for daily yoga, meditation, and other healing activities. There is also a pleasant pool area and garden space for relaxing and strolling, with views toward Molyvos and the beach in the distance.
Enjoy up to twice-daily yoga and meditation, along with playshops focused on healing, growth, and empowerment. The program also includes kirtan, hiking, swimming, and possible side trips.
Two-thirds of the meals are included: daily buffet breakfasts, four lunches, and three dinners. One meal each day is left open so you can explore on your own or with the group and sample the wonderful restaurants in Molyvos.
Most participants will fly into Athens, where you may choose to spend a night or two on your own. From there, you can travel to Lesvos by ferry or fly into Mytilini. The flight is about $100 each way, or $200 round trip. Please plan to arrive on Lesvos by June 3 at the latest, as that night is included and the retreat begins that day. You may depart by flight or ferry on or after June 10.
$1,495 per person for double or triple occupancy. More spacious deluxe accommodations are also available for an additional $100 per person, again for double or triple occupancy.
Note: 30 Euros is currently about 35 US dollars, so most of these tours are approximately $35 US.
This excursion highlights the natural beauty of the rocky western side of the island. The route includes the 15th-century monastery of Lemonos and its museum of old icons, a stop in the traditional village of Vatousa for coffee and a walk through the streets, and the famous Petrified Forest, where volcanic activity turned trees to stone. The day ends in Skala Eresos, a former fishing village with a sandy beach, small shops, restaurants, and coffee bars. Guided in English.
