This 200-hour yoga teacher training is guided by Simona, whose experience in yoga spans more than 25 years. The course is recognized by Yoga Alliance and takes place at Marga Yoga studio in Koh Samui. You may begin on your chosen date.
Each day begins at 6:45am with shatkarmas, a traditional internal purification practice, followed by herbal tea. The morning continues with pranayama and asana practice for two hours, then a nourishing vegan brunch.
After brunch, karma yoga follows. The length varies depending on the activity, though it is usually around 15 minutes. A traditional sauna or steam session is prepared for your break, and you can cool off in the pool or spend time at the beach, just 30 meters from the yoga studio.
Later, you will attend a yoga philosophy theory class, then enjoy another break with fresh juice or tea. The next session covers anatomy or asana theory, including the benefits and contraindications of each posture, adjustments, and how to avoid injury in yoga. This is followed by a second asana class, which may be a stretching or mobility session, and once a week, a yin class.
Dinner is served as another highlight of the day, followed by an introduction to the Bhagavad Gita, including a 15-minute video. Most days end there, although some evenings include 30 minutes of kirtan, music, or a short film. From the second week onward, you will also begin teaching in pairs or small groups as part of your teaching practice.
