A weekend retreat created to help you reconnect with nature, with yourself, and with others. This land has been given time to rest, restore, renourish, and rewild — and you are warmly invited to do the same.
Wild Weekends are uplifting retreats inspired by the land and the people who tend it. They offer a chance to step away from technology and the pace of everyday life, and to reconnect with something deeper, quieter, and more meaningful.
Set in beautiful wild surroundings, these weekends include quietly luxurious accommodation, deeply nourishing vegetarian meals, and thoughtfully held experiences designed to help you slow down and rediscover your place within the interconnectedness of all things.
Our vision is simple: to reconnect with nature, self, and others. These weekends bring that vision to life, and their impact stays with you long after you leave.
Medicinal Mushrooms
This Wild Weekend is centred on medicinal mushrooms. Join a journey of inner and outer discovery as you explore the fascinating world of fungi and their remarkable healing potential. Learn how mushrooms nourish, restore, and connect us to the wider web of life through mindful foraging, hands-on medicine-making, and shared reflection. Together, you will create your own mushroom remedies to take home, leaving inspired and deeply attuned to nature’s quiet wisdom.
"In truth, this land is more than a retreat, it is a sanctuary and a home for all life" Seth Tabatznik, Founder, @42acresretreat

42 Acres
42 Acres is a regenerative estate, nature reserve, and wellbeing retreat centre with a vision to live in harmony with nature, self, and others. Using deep intuition, ancient tools, and shared knowledge, the team creates regenerative spaces, transformational experiences, and opportunities to learn, heal, and grow.
Guests are invited to explore 173 acres of wild spaces, including ancient woodland, rewilded meadows, an 11-acre lake, and pioneering nature restoration projects.
A thoughtfully converted former livery stable, this practical three-bedroom cottage sits on one level and is surrounded by nature on our regenerative estate. The bright main living area enjoys triple-aspect views and an easy open-plan layout, with a fully equipped kitchen, dining table for six, and two sofas, one of which converts into a double sofa bed. Please note that there is no dishwasher or freezer. The main bathroom includes a shower over bath and toilet.
The first bedroom is a double room with a private shower room and is accessed only through French doors from the courtyard, offering a sense of privacy. The second bedroom can be arranged as a king or twin and has its own bathroom with a shower over bath. The third bedroom is also a king or twin, with a private bathroom featuring a shower over bath; this room can be reached from the courtyard and via pocket doors from the living space. Each bedroom opens onto an outdoor patio and lawns.
Set across 173 acres of wild landscapes, the cottage is surrounded by ancient woodland, rewilded meadows, edible hedges, a lake suitable for wild swimming, and abundant wildlife. Guests are welcome to explore the estate.
Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome at no extra cost. Please request the pet policy in advance so arrangements can be made. Two of the three bedrooms can be set up as kings or twins; as standard, they are prepared as kings, and twin configuration should be requested in the booking notes.
