Step into a training designed for those who feel ready to guide others through breathwork with skill, presence, and responsibility.
The Breathless Facilitator Training is a 10-week certification created to help you grow into facilitation with confidence, clarity, and integrity. You’ll learn how to lead sessions safely and effectively, drawing from research, lived experience, and practical application in real-world settings.
This program is not about memorising scripts or collecting techniques. Instead, it focuses on presence, reading the room, and holding space in a way that is ethical, embodied, and genuinely supportive.
Both pathways lead to the same certification and core curriculum. What differs is the way you experience the journey.
Choose the format that best suits your life, your learning style, and the depth of immersion you’re seeking.
A fully supported 10-week online pathway that includes:
This option is ideal if you want flexibility while staying closely connected to the learning and the group.
Online Training + In-Person Mountain Immersion
This pathway includes everything in the Online Training Track, plus a four-day in-person immersion in the Snowy Mountains.
It is designed for those who want to bring the work fully into the body, practise facilitation face-to-face, and receive direct, grounded feedback in a contained environment.
The Mountain Immersion is where the training deepens.
Held in the Snowy Mountains at The Shed at Lake Crackenback Resort, with accommodation at Pender Lea Chalets, this four-day experience offers space to slow down and step fully into the role of facilitator.
You’ll practise guiding breathwork sessions, experience the work from both sides, and receive feedback that supports you in refining your presence and confidence. The environment is intentionally supportive, helping you integrate what you’ve learned without distraction.
This is not about performance. It is about embodiment, awareness, and learning to trust yourself in the role.
Your training begins as soon as you enrol.
Inside the Academy, you’ll move through a structured curriculum covering breathwork techniques, nervous system regulation, facilitation skills, ethics, and practical application. The live calls are where theory meets experience, giving you room to practise, ask questions, and reflect alongside your cohort.
This is an experiential training. You won’t only learn about breathwork — you’ll work with it, be guided through it, and gradually grow into leading it.
Certification is not the finish line.
Graduates remain connected to the Breathless ecosystem, with ongoing access to learning materials and invitations to future trainings and refreshers. Many facilitators begin offering sessions soon after completing the program, while continuing to deepen their skills through practice and community.
The intention is simple: you are supported beyond the training, not sent on your way alone.
This work is independently researched.
In collaboration with Macquarie University, Breathless took part in a study with 505 participants that found significant improvements in mood, substantial reductions in anxiety, and measurable growth in interoceptive awareness, with results sustained one week later.
Johannes is also a co-author of peer-reviewed breathwork research published in Brain Sciences (Banushi et al., 2023, MDPI), an internationally recognised scientific journal.
When you train with Breathless, you’re learning from practice that has been measured, studied, and published.
Johannes has spent more than a decade in the field as a freediving instructor, Wim Hof Method Instructor, Oxygen Advantage Instructor, HeartMath Trainer, and certified yoga teacher. He has facilitated breathwork for thousands of people and co-authored peer-reviewed research published in international scientific journals.
What graduates remember most, however, is how it felt to be in the room with him.
The Breathless team brings that same kindness, compassion, and positivity to every part of the in-person experience, from the moment you arrive to the final goodbye.

Published researcher, author, keynote speaker, athlete, and breathwork instructor, Johannes Egberts brings a deeply informed and practical perspective to the art and science of breathing.
