A diverse network of facilitators, guides, teachers, artists, healers, and coaches will lead the workshops and classes throughout your retreat.

Kunti Hari Arti

Kunti’s yoga teaching is rooted in a family tradition of Hatha Yoga pioneers. Raised in an environment shaped by yoga and spiritual discipline, she brings more than 20 years of experience and is certified in Hatha, Kundalini, and Ashtanga yoga.

Her path includes teaching at Miri Piri Academy in India and studying Ashtanga Yoga in Rishikesh with Master Yogi Khamal Singh. Her approach combines technique, curiosity, and a holistic view of yoga as a path that integrates body, mind, and spirit.

Gabriela Alcántara

Gabriela is a mother, healer, and keeper of ancient feminine rituals from Mexico. Through years of study with the grandmothers of her community, she has deepened her practice of womb work, plant-based healing, and sacred rituals aligned with the rhythms of the land.

She will guide the group in working with local healing plants by infusing them into honey, creating a healing sweetness for each woman to carry home as a reminder of the time shared together.

Karan Khalsa

Karan Khalsa is an entrepreneur who has spent the last two decades building businesses that foster community and transformation. She is the founder and patron of Mahai Retreat, and also leads Spirit Voyage Records and Spirit Voyage Foundation.

Before entering business, writing was her greatest passion. She studied Literature and Education at Marymount University in Virginia, and later Creative Writing at Goddard College. Karan believes writing is both an art and a form of medicine, and she brings that perspective into workshops that support introspection, creativity, therapy, and personal growth.

Travel

Mahai is located in Mahahual, Quintana Roo, Mexico.

Tulum Airport (TQM) is the closest international airport. A shuttle company travels from Tulum to Mahahual, and transportation from Tulum can be arranged after registration.

You may also fly into Cancun (CUN), which is a 5 to 6 hour drive away, or the domestic airport in Chetumal (CTM), which is a 2 hour drive. Travel from these airports must be arranged independently.
