Journey into the heart of cacao and the living Mayan world in a week of deep connection, ceremony, and bliss at Lake Atitlan, Guatemala. Surrounded by volcanoes and the beauty of sacred land, this retreat brings together cacao teachings, ecstatic dance, kirtan, medicine music, authentic relating, embodiment, and sacred ceremony for an immersive experience rooted in soul connection and community.
Each day invites you into a richer relationship with your body, the land, your purpose, and the Divine. Through yoga, ritual, sacred ceremony, song circles, and plant medicine journeys, you will explore what it means to live with greater presence and sacred embodiment. The retreat also includes local tours with indigenous teachers, artists, and facilitators, offering a meaningful window into the culture and wisdom of the region.
During the retreat, you will visit towns around Lake Atitlan and experience local cuisine, ecstatic dance, kirtan, a cacao farm, a native bird sanctuary, and a Mayan medicine ceremony. You will also learn about Mayan cosmology and the Sacred Tzolkin Calendar, discovering how this ancient future tool can support harmony, purpose, and a deeper connection to your inner magic.
For those who choose the pilgrimage extension, there is an opportunity to continue to Chichicastenango to explore renowned artisanal markets and meet Mayan medicine men in Guatemala. If you stay for part 3, the journey continues to the ancient Mayan temple of Tikal and more.

Meet your Facilitators:
Carla Jannette Gonzalez-Guerra is a ritual artist, transformational healer, teacher, and lifelong student bridging yoga, tantra, chakra psychology, shamanism, plant medicine, and Divine Feminine spirituality. Her work is grounded in the belief that healing begins within. She facilitates plant and earth medicine journeys, including Kambo and cacao, and also sings medicine music and kirtan. Carla leads transformational retreats across the USA, Mexico, Guatemala, and Peru.
Her path began while studying clinical psychology at UCSD, and after graduating in 2011 she traveled abroad and completed her first 200-hour yoga teacher training in Ashtanga Yoga in Goa, India. In 2015, she deepened her healing path through Reiki, then explored Kundalini, tantra, and cacao plant medicine ceremonies. Her journey led her to Lake Atitlan, where she completed a 300-hour yoga teacher training in Shamanic Yoga in 2016, and she has continued studying with shamanic guides and indigenous teachers ever since.
Enjoly Mar, founder of Camino Jaguar - Jaguar Journey Retreat, will accompany the group throughout the retreat, supporting the activation of jaguar spiritual embodiment. She also serves as an additional translator and space holder. With 13 years of travel and direct experience with elders from her Apache, Mexica, and Mayan roots, Enjoly brings teachings shaped by cultural reclamation, dance, cacao, and magic. She creates safe spaces for emotional movement, transformation, healing, and self-empowerment, and will share her personal Jaguar Journey during the retreat.
Anahata, aka Anna Simone Combi, is a medicine musician, singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, herbalist, medicine maker, permaculture teacher, designer, and gardener. She is also an ecstatic dance DJ, somatic facilitator, and certified yoga teacher in Hatha Vinyasa flow and Pranassage bodywork-Thai yoga massage. During the retreat, she will weave together medicine music, herbalism, and permaculture teachings, while sharing about cacao, how it grows, and its social and environmental impact.
