Spend seven days immersed in Costa Rica’s wild beauty with a luxury retreat designed to reconnect you with nature, movement, and stillness. Your home for the week is Vista Celestial, a boutique eco-hotel tucked into the rainforest above the Pacific Ocean. The setting offers an understated luxury experience that encourages reconnection with the natural world, your inner self, and a small community of like-minded guests. Each morning begins with a centering, one-hour yoga class suitable for all levels, followed by a gourmet breakfast with ocean views and the sounds of the surrounding jungle.

After breakfast, the property’s trails lead into the rainforest for guided mindfulness experiences such as YOGAhikes, ZENwalks, or nature mandala creation. A swim in the infinity pool offers a refreshing pause after the morning’s adventure. Though the property feels secluded, it is only minutes from beaches and activities such as surfing, zip-lining, horseback riding, and snorkeling. Afternoons leave room for a market visit, a cacao plantation excursion, a massage, a good book, or simply watching the resident sloth before an evening restorative practice at sunset.

This intimate retreat welcomes just 12 participants and offers space for transformation through yoga, hiking, and forest bathing in a tropical setting near the beach. By stepping away from daily demands and into a phone-free community environment, you can replenish your energy, rediscover what matters most, and return home with practical rituals for staying connected to nature.

ACCOMMODATIONS

OCEAN VIEW VILLAS

These private rainforest villas offer 1,000 square feet (100 square meters) of space designed for relaxation and a seamless connection to the outdoors. Each room features sweeping views of the Whale's Tail in Uvita, Costa Rica.

Amenities include a private pool, oversized soaking tub, rainfall shower, king bed, private dining area, expansive deck, and organic bath products locally made in Costa Rica.

GARDEN VILLAS

The three bedroom, three bathroom garden villas provide a comfortable home-away-from-home and fully restorative space for adventurous days on the southern Pacific coast of Costa Rica.

MEALS

Vista Celestial serves locally sourced, organic gourmet meals prepared with care. Guests typically choose from three main course options, including vegan and vegetarian dishes. Dietary needs and preferences are gladly accommodated, and a questionnaire is provided before arrival. Additional snacks are available for guests who prefer to stay on the property.

WEATHER & ENVIRONMENT

Located at 2,000 feet above sea level, the days are warm and the evenings slightly cooler. January is the dry season, so rain is unlikely. Because this retreat is rooted in nature connection, expect tropical birds, howler monkeys, geckos, lizards, and jungle bugs. Jungle paths include inclines and exposed roots, so stable footwear such as sneakers or strapped sandals is recommended.

TRAVEL & ARRIVAL

• A valid passport is required - valid at least six months after the date of travel.
• Three weeks prior to departure for the retreat you must supply your up-to-date flight information.
• Plan to arrive no later than 1PM on arrival day to San Jose International Airport.
• If you plan to arrive prior to the retreat start date, recommendations for hotels and transportation will be provided.
• On departure day, the shuttle will leave to accommodate the earliest flight from the San Jose International Airport. It is suggested to be at the international terminal 3 hours prior to your international departure; please book your departure time accordingly. Should you desire a later departure, you will have to cover an extra fee.
• If you would like to extend your trip, locations, tours, and sights to see will be recommended.

RETREAT HOST

Dagmar Bohlmann is a Kripalu-certified Mindful Outdoor Guide and an experienced, registered yoga and meditation teacher (ERYT500). She has written about the impact of nature immersion on the human soul and is devoted to helping guests return to their true nature. Dagmar has led domestic and international retreats and has visited Costa Rica many times.

“Cancel for any reason” insurance is highly recommended, as unexpected personal, political, environmental, health, weather-related, or pre-existing medical circumstances may interrupt travel. Due to contractual commitments with vendors, there are no exceptions to the cancellation policy.

Alcohol may be purchased separately, but otherwise this is a substance-free retreat. Substances include cigarettes, e-cigarettes, cannabis, other smoking materials, and illicit or illegal drugs.

A non-refundable and non-transferable $500 deposit secures your space in the retreat. First 50% installment is due July 15, 2026. The full amount is due 90 days prior to the start date of the retreat (10/15/2026). Upon registering, you will be required to review and agree to the Yoga Retreat Agreement and Release of Liability Waiver. Refunds will be granted as per the Retreat Agreement Waiver.
