Description
An immersive spa ritual designed to restore balance, water is at the heart of this experience, supporting both physical healing and mental calm.
As with every spa journey, guests are encouraged to begin with hydro-therapy using alternating hot and cold elements. This pre-treatment practice helps ground the body, prepare it for what follows, and support circulation while bringing a soothing sense of ease.
Unique Components
- Sanarium | A different kind of sauna, the Sanarium combines moisture with five levels of steam. Humidity is usually around 45%, with temperatures between 140 and 145 degrees. CIVANA is the first spa in the U.S. to offer this German-made healing modality, which uses radiant heat to warm the body from within. Please rest on a towel while using the Sanarium.
- Kneipp Walks | These shallow walking pools include a cold pool at 50 to 55 degrees and a hot pool at 102 to 104 degrees.
- Tepidarium Pool | This spacious warm pool circulates oxygenated water at approximately 100 to 102 degrees. Inside, you’ll find a relaxation bench, built-in wave loungers, and a powerful volcano pad designed to ease tension and gently raise core body temperature.
- Cold Deluge Shower | An overhead container releases icy 59-degree water, saturating the body from head to toe.
Self-Guided Journey
Take time before or after any spa treatment to fully enjoy the benefits of the Aqua Therapy Circuit and let your body rest completely. Please shower before and after using the circuit.
Step 1 | Begin with your choice of one warm element and stay until your body feels it has reached its limit. Please do not overextend yourself.
Step 2 | Move immediately into a cold element, either by walking or fully submerging yourself, again stopping at your body’s limit.
Step 3 | Your heart rate will rise at this point, which is part of the immune-boosting benefits. Rest and rehydrate with water until your heart rate returns to a resting state.
Step 4 | A complete circuit includes three rounds of warm, cold, and rest, using the modalities of your choice. It is recommended that you shower and allow 30 minutes of rest before starting any spa service.

Patio Queen Room
Located on the ground floor, this patio queen room offers a comfortable and accessible stay with a relaxed indoor-outdoor feel. It features two queen beds, a spacious walk-in shower, and a large private walkout patio where guests can unwind and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Partial views of Black Mountain and the tranquil garden area add to the room’s calm, restorative atmosphere.
Designed with ADA accessibility in mind, the room includes thoughtful details to support ease and convenience throughout the stay. These features include a doorbell, double peephole door, lowered safe and shelf in the dressing closet, a roll-in shower with bench and bars, a double vanity sink with one roll-up section, restroom grab bars, and an outdoor roll-up entry.
Double Queen Room
Enjoy a stay designed with comfort and wellness in mind. Each inviting Double Queen Room includes a private walk-out patio or balcony, a seating area, and a beautifully appointed bathroom.
Your stay also includes access to daily wellness experiences spanning mindfulness, movement, culinary arts, personal growth, outdoor adventure, and creative arts; more than 5,000 sq ft of fitness, yoga, and meditation spaces; and nearby hiking and biking trails. You’ll also have connection with on-site wellness experts, with the option to book private sessions, plus access to restful amenities including the main resort pool.
