In a world that moves quickly and demands constant output, it can be easy to lose touch with yourself. This 8-day immersion offers a sacred pause: a space for deep healing, reconnection, and supported transformation through authentic Shipibo ayahuasca work.
Held in Costa Rica, this intimate experience brings together ancient wisdom and modern trauma-informed care. Guided by master maestra Orfelinda from Peru, the retreat includes three ayahuasca ceremonies, sacred icaros, and a carefully held environment designed to support profound inner work with safety and reverence.
The early registration offer saves 10%, and payment plans are available. The first four guests receive upgraded second-floor rooms, with enhanced privacy and views.
This retreat is intended for those seeking deep healing from trauma held in the body, an authentic experience that honors indigenous traditions, and trauma-informed support they can trust. It is also ideal for anyone who values time to process, integrate, and return home with greater clarity and steadiness.
With a maximum of 8 guests and a 2:1 ratio of facilitators to participants, this immersion offers a level of personal attention that is rare in the retreat world.
Throughout the stay, guests also take part in group shares, somatic workshops, sound bath, gentle yoga, beach excursions, gourmet chef-prepared meals, and optional healing sessions.
Orfelinda Sanancino Cauper, known in Shipibo as Bawan Kater, is a gentle and loving master healer from Pullcalpa, Peru. She began drinking ayahuasca at age 20 and completed many year-long plant medicine diets to walk the path of a healer.
The CARE team also includes Kimberly Ocana, a co-founder and trauma-informed facilitator; Michal “Sanken Koshi,” co-founder; Sami Bass, trauma-informed movement specialist; Rachael Babette, trauma-informed integration guide; and Jason Ocana, co-founder and retired firefighter paramedic.
Previous guests describe the experience as deeply safe, highly organized, and life-changing, with exceptional support before, during, and after ceremony. Many highlight the intimacy of the group size, the power of the icaros, and the depth of one-on-one care.
This is a carefully held retreat for those ready to meet themselves more fully, with space, skill, and reverence.
