This advanced yoga teacher training in Rishikesh is designed for students who want to deepen their practice, refine their teaching skills, and move toward Yoga Alliance registration as an RYT 500. By combining the full 200-hour and 300-hour trainings into one continuous journey, the program offers a comprehensive path through yoga technique, philosophy, anatomy, and methodology.
Held at Abhayaranya Yoga Ashram, the course is fully residential and follows Yoga Alliance standards. Participants begin with the 200-hour module and then continue into the 300-hour training, with a short break of one or two days between the two parts. Once the training is completed and certification is awarded, students may apply to Yoga Alliance for RYT 500 registration.

Set on a peaceful hilltop above Patna Waterfall in Rishikesh, the ashram is surrounded by greenery and forest trails. This natural setting supports meditation, self-study, mindfulness, and a quieter way of living. The environment is also guided by eco-conscious principles, creating a supportive space for learning and inner growth.
Daily Routine: The day begins with early morning meditation, followed by yoga classes, workshops, and philosophy sessions with experienced teachers. Karma yoga is also part of the routine, encouraging humility, presence, and discipline through selfless service.
Residential Setting: Comfortable rooms with essential amenities help create a distraction-free atmosphere for practice and rest. Freshly prepared sattvic meals, aligned with Ayurvedic principles, support balance and nourishment throughout the training.
This 500-hour training is built in accordance with Yoga Alliance standards for RYT 500 certification. It brings together the complete curriculum of both the 200-hour and 300-hour courses for a deep and well-rounded understanding of yoga.
Students study common health conditions and how yoga practices such as asana, pranayama, and diet may help support natural management. Training includes standing poses, forward bends, backbends, twists, and inversions, along with their benefits, alignment, and purpose.
With 3 hours of daily practice guided by experienced yoga teachers, students build strength, flexibility, balance, and confidence. The training also supports proper alignment and the therapeutic use of asanas.
This module explores how the body moves in different postures, the role of muscles, joints, and breath, and how to offer safe adjustments and corrections for effective teaching.
Students explore Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, key ideas such as dharma and karma, and the application of yogic wisdom in modern life, connecting practice with a holistic yogic lifestyle.
This section focuses on breathwork, mental clarity, and inner awareness through pranayama, meditation, Yoga Nidra, and traditional chanting. From the second week onward, students begin hands-on practice to develop their own routine and gain confidence in guiding others.
