This advanced 500-hour yoga teacher training in Rishikesh combines the depth of a 200-hour and 300-hour curriculum into one intensive residential journey. Designed to strengthen both practice and teaching ability, it supports students in refining technique, exploring yoga philosophy, and building the confidence needed to qualify as an RYT 500 instructor.
Held at Abhayaranya Yoga Ashram in Rishikesh, the program follows Yoga Alliance standards and offers a structured path into advanced yoga study. Participants begin with the 200-hour module and then continue into the 300-hour training, with a short break of one or two days between the two parts. After successful completion, students become eligible to apply for Yoga Alliance RYT 500 registration.

Applicants must be 18 years or older. There is no upper age limit, provided the student is physically fit and mentally sound.
Skill Level
This training is suitable for beginner to intermediate practitioners. A committed attitude and willingness to learn matter more than advanced postures.
Language Proficiency
All teaching is delivered in English, so participants should have a reasonable level of understanding to follow lessons, take part in discussions, and complete assignments.

Set above the scenic Patna Waterfall and surrounded by forest trails and lush greenery, the ashram offers a peaceful natural setting that supports deep meditation, inner awareness, mindfulness, and self-study. Daily Routine: Each day begins with early morning meditation, followed by yoga classes, workshops, and philosophy sessions guided by experienced teachers.
Karma yoga is also part of the routine, encouraging selfless service, humility, presence, and discipline.
Residential Settings: Comfortable rooms with essential amenities, freshly prepared sattvic meals aligned with Ayurvedic practices, and a distraction-free atmosphere help support emotional and mental well-being throughout the training.
Completion of the full 500-hour course, along with the required assessments and participation standards, makes students eligible for certification. Graduates receive a certificate from Abhayaranya Yoga Ashram accredited by Yoga Alliance, which can be used to register as RYT 500. Registration is optional and requires a separate fee paid directly to Yoga Alliance.
