This 5-day Yogic Chikitsa introductory course in Rishikesh is designed to help you understand yourself on a physical, mental, and emotional level. It is well suited to beginners who want a solid foundation for their personal practice, as well as more advanced practitioners looking to refine and deepen what they already know. By bringing together traditional yogic practices and Western wellness science, the course supports modern bodies in addressing lifestyle imbalances, pain and injuries, emotional disharmony, and the path toward greater overall health through the healing of mind, body, and soul.
As the raw clay pot weakens when water is left inside it without being strengthened, the human body can also lose resilience when it is not used according to its design. Daily yoga practice helps build that strength, allowing the body and mind to remain steady and under your command over time. In today’s fast-paced world, many people have little time for themselves, which often leads to restricted movement, irregular movement patterns, and poor posture. From there, discomfort may appear in the form of back pain, rounded shoulders, shallow breathing, reverse breathing patterns, knee pain, or numbness in the hands and legs. As the body begins to experience pain, the mind is often affected too, creating tension and further physical and mental strain.
TECHNIQUES, TRAINING, PRACTICE
This training explores the fundamentals of body movement through the breath-body connection, with a focus on applying these principles safely within the Vinyasa method. Students receive an analytical understanding of the practice, along with practical tools to build a strong self-practice. Over the years, our experience with students has shown that consistent practice in the right direction, together with mastery of the basic techniques taught during this training, can support not only a strong and efficient body, but also a clear and balanced mind through the art of pranayama.
