




Over 5 days and 4 nights, this journey takes you from Marrakesh to Fes through some of Morocco’s most striking landscapes. Travel across the High Atlas Mountains via Ouarzazate, with time to visit the UNESCO-listed Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, stop for photos at Atlas Studio, and continue through the Roses Valley, Dades Valley, and Todra Gorges before reaching the golden dunes of Merzouga. The route also includes encounters with nomad families, Berber villages, the Rissani Market, Erfoud, Ziz Valley, Midelt, Azrou, the Cedar Forest, Ifrane, and the Middle Atlas mountains.
1 Day 1: Marrakesh – High Atlas Mountains – Ait Benhaddou Kasbah – Ouarzazate
After meeting at the agreed location, the tour begins with a drive through the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi N'tichka pass, reaching 2260 m above sea level. Along the way, there will be stops to enjoy the scenery and visit an argan oil cooperative. The journey continues to the ancient Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, where you will have free time to explore this UNESCO World Heritage site, known for films such as Alexander, Gladiator, and Babel. In the afternoon, head to Ouarzazate, often called the Hollywood of Africa, with a photo stop at Atlas Studio. Dinner and overnight in Ouarzazate.
2 Day 2: Ouarzazate – Skoura – Roses Valley – Dades Valley
After breakfast, drive toward Boumalne Dades via Skoura, with a visit to the 17th-century Kasbah of Amridil. Continue to the capital of Roses for a brief stop, then follow the road to nomad families living in caves, where you will be welcomed with a cup of mint tea. Lunch is served in a local restaurant before continuing to Dades Valley for dinner and overnight in the hotel.
3 Day 3: Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Tinejdad – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert
Following breakfast, the day begins with a drive to Erg Chebbi via Tineghir, the old Moroccan Berber Jewish capital, and a visit to the Todra Gorges. Several panoramic stops are included along the way. After lunch in Touroug, continue toward the Erg Chebbi desert, passing Erfoud, known as the fossil capital, and Rissani before arriving at the impressive dunes of Merzouga. Overnight at the hotel.
4 Day 4: Merzouga – Khamlia – Nomad Family
This morning, travel through varied desert scenery along the Paris-Dakar Rally track, crossing sandy rivers, Berber villages, nomads, and dry lakes en route to Khamlia, a village known for Gnawa musicians. Enjoy traditional music, followed by lunch with Berber pizza and tea. In the afternoon, return to Merzouga, where your camel guide will take you across the dunes to the desert camp. Spend the night under the stars with Berber music in the background.
5 Day 5: Merzouga Desert – Ziz Valley – Midelt – Ifrane – Fes
Rise early to watch the sunrise over the dunes, then after breakfast ride your camel back to meet your driver. Continue toward Fes via Erfoud and the Ziz Valley, with a scenic stop along the way. Travel on to Midelt across the Tizi N'talghamt pass, where lunch will be served. The route then leads through the Cedar Forest and the Middle Atlas mountains, with a chance to see Barbary apes, before a stop in Ifrane and arrival in Fes. Drop-off at your accommodation marks the end of the tour.
