Description

Step into five days of deep healing and transformation in the Peruvian Amazon, where sacred plant medicine, nature, and traditional wisdom come together in a supportive setting. Held at Flower of Life Ayahuasca Healing Center in Peru, this retreat combines Ayahuasca and San Pedro for participants seeking a profound first-time immersive experience rooted in spirituality, personal growth, and the healing power of sacred plants.

Established in 2015 and owned by a Peruvian woman, the center has built a strong reputation in the region. It operates under local regulations and is guided by experienced Shipibo shamans and facilitators who are committed to creating a safe, respectful, and supportive environment throughout your journey.

Throughout the retreat, you will work with Ayahuasca and San Pedro in ceremonial and traditional contexts, always under the care of knowledgeable shamans who honor the spirit of the plants. The program is designed to support holistic well-being through ceremonies, group conversations, and individual integration sessions, offering space to release emotional blockages, reflect on past experiences, and gain meaningful insight into your life path.

Set in Nauta, three hours from Iquitos, within the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve, the retreat unfolds in the heart of the Amazon rainforest. Surrounded by lush jungle, rivers, and peaceful natural scenery, you will have the opportunity to rest, reconnect, and find clarity in a setting that naturally supports reflection and healing.

Community is also an important part of the experience. You will share this path with like-minded participants, creating space for open exchange, mutual support, and connections that may continue beyond the retreat itself.

5 Day Retreat Schedule

Sample schedule only. An official itinerary will be shared during orientation.

Day 1

Arrival and orientation. Departure from Iquitos is at 9:00 a.m., with pick-up from the airport or hotel. The journey includes a two-hour drive to Nauta Port and a 45-minute boat ride along the Marañón River, arriving at the center at 12:00 p.m. After lunch, you will meet the shamans, receive an introduction to the healing process, settle in, and enjoy a guided walk around the grounds and sacred maloca before dinner.

Day 2

Preparation for ceremony begins before breakfast with a unique vomitivo using lemongrass for physical and energetic cleansing. In the morning, you will have a consultation with the shamans and facilitators, who may recommend medicinal plants if needed. At 3:00 p.m., you will take your first steam bath with medicinal plants, followed by your first floral bath with rue and other Amazonian plants. The afternoon is reserved for rest and reflection before your first Ayahuasca ceremony at 7:00 p.m.

Day 3

After breakfast, you will speak with the shamans about your experience from the previous night and continue with the daily plant remedies as prescribed. The day includes time for rest and reflection, followed by a second steam bath and another floral aromatherapy bath at 3:00 p.m. The second Ayahuasca ceremony takes place at 7:00 p.m.

Day 4

The day begins at 8:00 a.m. with a San Pedro cactus ceremony, followed by a jungle walk to enjoy the beauty of the surrounding nature. Lunch is served afterward. The rest of the day is free for relaxation or optional activities, including a boat tour on the Marañón River for fishing, swimming, pink dolphin viewing, birdwatching, and exploring Amazonian wildlife.

Day 5

This is the final day at the center. Breakfast is served at 8:00 a.m., and departure by boat to Iquitos is at 9:00 a.m., with arrival expected at 12:00 p.m. The retreat emphasizes physical, mental, and spiritual preparation, as well as the importance of ongoing communication with the shamans and facilitators for deeper understanding and better results.
