Whether you dream of teaching yoga, want to deepen your personal practice, or are already a teacher seeking fresh insight, this training offers a meaningful next step. It is designed for those who want more than asana alone: philosophy, anatomy, history, and the wider context of yoga are all part of the journey. The experience is intentionally intimate, with just ten participants, creating space for personal attention and real connection. It also explores inclusivity, cultural appropriation, privilege, and the role of service in practice. Educators, counselors, and community leaders who want to bring yoga into their work and communities are also warmly welcomed.
What You're Learning
This holistic 200-hour training weaves together asana, anatomy, philosophy, meditation, and pranayama, giving you a strong foundation beyond the physical postures. Through hands-on practice and individualized feedback, you’ll develop practical teaching skills such as sequencing, cueing, adjustments, and holding space. Rooted in the Yoga Sutras and authentic philosophy, the curriculum is designed to support transformation, confidence, and the ability to share yoga anywhere in the world.
Module 1: Root Chakra (Week 1)
In the first 25-hour module, you’ll explore the history of yoga, including the origins of Sanskrit, yoga’s beginnings, and the branches of yoga. The training introduces energy and subtle body concepts through the koshas, pranayama, the chakras, and the 8 limbs of yoga. You’ll workshop key standing poses such as tadasana, down dog, and the warrior series, while also building foundational coaching skills for working with students, clients, and relationships. This module includes the three-day “How to Meditate” course and the Mantra Meditation “1 Giant Mind” tradition.
Module 2: Sacral Chakra (Week 1)
This section focuses on the philosophy of yoga in greater depth, along with a posture workshop on surya namaskar and vinyasa flow. Each participant completes eight hours of asana, meditation, and pranayama practice, and also practices teaching one sequence.
Module 3: Solar Plexus (Week 1)
The third chakra module centers on personal power, confidence, and self-belief. You’ll study the ethics of yoga, spend time with mudras, bandhas, and meditation, and workshop core-strengthening poses. Each participant completes ten hours of practice and one practicum teaching experience.
Module 4: Heart Chakra (Week 2)
Here, the focus turns to pranayama techniques and a detailed exploration of backbending and heart-opening poses. You’ll also study anatomy and the ways yoga supports health, sensation and pain, as well as trauma and PTSD. The module includes adaptations for a range of needs, from prenatal yoga to trauma-informed yoga.
Module 5: Throat Chakra (Week 2)
This module examines communication and integrity of speech, alongside teaching and assisting forward fold poses. You’ll study the musculoskeletal system in depth, including fascia, tissue, muscles, joints, the spine, and the core. You’ll also learn how to teach Mindful Let Go classes, inspired by yin and restorative styles.
Module 6: Third Eye Chakra (Week 3)
In this module, you’ll study physiology, including the vagus nerve, the stress and relaxation response, respiration, and anatomy. Twisting poses are workshopped, and you’ll be introduced to the foundations of sequencing yoga classes: class elements, pose selection and arrangement, and class segmentation. You’ll also learn how to teach Yin Yoga classes.
Online Work
Online anatomy lessons and online yoga practices are recommended before arrival so students can build their practice in advance. These videos may also be completed during free time in Bali, and they are required for course completion.
Module 7: Crown Chakra (Week 3)
The final module covers student safety, adapting for different student types, and teaching methodology. You’ll also study the business of yoga, including marketing, reaching your potential as a teacher, and building revenue and business streams. Everything comes together in a final class taught to a group on graduation day, followed by a final exam.
