2-Week Retreat Overview

This retreat includes 8 ayahuasca ceremonies, along with a Piñon negro and Hierba Luisa pre-ayahuasca purgative ceremony. Each ceremony lasts approximately 5 to 6 hours. During the entire experience, the shamans work with Icaros, traditional songs used to support what they describe as spiritual surgeries. In this approach, healing is understood to happen on a spiritual level, with the potential for physical healing as well.

The retreat is rooted in traditional plant medicine practices and offers space for reflection, openness, and transformation. It is designed for participants who are ready to meet Mother Ayahuasca with trust and curiosity, and to receive guidance in a setting that values authenticity and depth.

• Transportation to and from the retreat center, with pickup from the mainstay hotel in Pucallpa
• Accommodation for the entire stay, in rooms with modern bathrooms, water, and electricity

Ayahuasca & Activities

The ayahuasca used here is prepared in a highly traditional way, with only liana ayahuasca and chacruna leaves added to the blend. Chacruna contains DMT, the compound associated with visions during the experience, while liana ayahuasca may bring a feeling of dizziness or unsteadiness that is understood as part of the cleansing process for the body, mind, and soul.

Planned activities may include a traditional Shipibo immersion day, where you can learn customary traditions directly from Shipibo people, a custom Shipibo market day, and meditation sessions.

Guests are invited to arrive with an open mind, not only for the ayahuasca experience itself, but also for life in a Peruvian indigenous village, where the comforts are simpler and the connection to nature is stronger.

Online Reservations Accepted

Reservations can be made online. A 50% payment is required in advance to secure your place, and the remaining balance can be paid in cash upon arrival in Pucallpa before the journey to the center begins.

Internet Access

Limongema is located one hour by boat from Pucallpa, where internet is available. Still, guests are encouraged to come prepared to disconnect and live in harmony with nature. You will have time to read, walk, meditate, and explore your surroundings while creating space to reconnect with yourself.

The center is intimate and accommodates a maximum of 8 people, which allows for a more personal ceremonial environment. Rooms are shared by two guests; solo travelers will be paired with a roommate, while couples may request a room with a double bed.

Bath, Water, Electricity

Several facilities have been renovated and now feature modern bathrooms and showers for each guest. Clean running water and electricity are available 24 hours a day. Some areas still have shared bathrooms and showers, and improvements are ongoing.

During your stay, towels, hand soap, toilet paper, and other basic essentials are provided, so you only need to bring your personal hygiene items such as a toothbrush and your usual hair or body products.

• Summer clothing, plus long pants or long shirts for mosquito protection at night
• A long-sleeved layer or raincoat for cooler moments
• Comfortable ceremony clothing, preferably loose and white if possible
• Comfortable shoes, ideally closed and waterproof if you plan jungle walks
• Wellies for day walks or excursions, if needed, are provided
• A notebook and pens
