Take part in a deeply immersive 15 day/14 night Master Plant Dieta retreat, created for those seeking a profound connection with the healing intelligence of Ayahuasca and other shamanic Master Plants. During the program, you will join five Ayahuasca ceremonies and complete a 5 day fast from both food and water, carried out in the privacy of your own space. This secluded period is essential for inner reflection and for building a relationship with the spirit of the Plant. Throughout the dieta, the Maestro visits each participant twice a day, in the morning and again in the evening, to administer the Plant for consumption and support a guided, safe experience.
More than a retreat, the Master Plant Dieta is a serious commitment to personal healing and growth, requiring exceptional discipline and sacrifice. The responsibility does not end when the 15 days are over: the dietary and energetic restrictions are much stricter than those of a standard Ayahuasca dieta, and participants are expected to continue following them for at least three months afterward. This extended practice supports a long-term alchemical process, helping the essence of the Plant integrate more fully into your being.
As a dietero, or someone dieting with plant medicine, your role is to create the right conditions in body and mind for the Plant to settle into your energy body. This sacred path is rooted in Shipibo tradition and reflects generations of knowledge and relationship with the plant kingdom. Guided by the Shipibo healers at La Medicina, it offers a powerful journey into the earth’s natural energies and a space for deep inner transformation.

La Medicina is free from light and EMF pollution, and the facilities include solar-powered lighting, hot showers, flush toilets, and spring-fed water systems. Guests can choose from a range of rooms to suit different preferences, including double-occupancy rooms, single-occupancy rooms, and eco-tambos for those looking for a more traditional stay. Most rooms have a connected terrace for relaxing outdoors in private, and all rooms except the eco-tambo and two rooms in Casa Nueva include a private bathroom. Hammocks are provided in each room, along with a designated place to hang them and enjoy them.
Our Ayahuasca retreat center in Peru offers a special chance to fully immerse yourself in nature. There are many paths to explore the jungle safely, giving guests the opportunity to connect with the natural environment and enter a more connected state of mind for communicating with Ayahuasca. Chacruna grows abundantly along the paths, and one jungle trail leads to a large Ayahuasca vine that has been growing on the property for around ten years. The land is also home to many other Master Plants, including Chiric Sanango, Bobinsana, Patiquina Negra, Toe, Katawa, and more.
This fully contained studio is designed for single occupancy and offers a comfortable, practical stay with everything close at hand. Inside, you’ll find a kitchen with a dining table, a private toilet, and a hot shower, creating a convenient setup for a relaxing retreat experience. The room features a queen-size bed with the highest quality bedding and mattress at La Medicina, along with a hammock for quiet moments of rest.
Room 2 also includes a terrace with a coffee table and seating for two, available for guests staying in Rooms 1 and 2. Centrally located, the studio is just a short distance from the dining room, chiloka, and fire pit, making it especially suitable for guests who may have difficulty with stairs. At the same time, its central position means it may not offer complete privacy from sound, as voices from nearby gathering areas can carry into the room.
