There comes a point in every student’s and teacher’s path when practice begins to deepen.
Yoga is no longer something you simply do — it becomes a way of living.
This 10-day immersion is an invitation into that threshold.
What is this training?
This is not a traditional Yoga Teacher Training.
It is a devotional immersion into the teachings of the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, explored through yin yoga, meditation, chanting, and stillness.
Across ten days in Bali, we will slow down and listen.
We will study the sutras, feel them in the body, and experience them not only as philosophy, but as living energy.
The training is grounded in Alexandra’s signature method, Resting with the Sutras, where philosophy meets practice.
Who is this 10-Day Immersion for?
This training is for you if:
You do not need to be flexible.
You do not need to be a teacher.
You only need a willingness to listen.
What you’ll learn
Over ten days in Bali, you will study the first book of the Yoga Sutras, Samadhi Pada, along with key themes including:
Each teaching is woven into embodied practice.
Daily practice
Each morning begins with a 60-minute vinyasa practice, a 20-minute seated meditation, and 45 minutes of chanting Patanjali’s Sutras to prepare body, mind, and soul for the day ahead.
Each evening includes a 60-minute Resting with the Sutras yoga practice and a 20-minute meditation.
Yin Yoga studies
You will take part in ten 90-minute classes focused on how to teach yin yoga, including posture review, meridians, teaching technique, and more.
Alexandra will also lead a special workshop on how she plans and teaches her signature class, Resting with the Sutras.
What each day will look like:
Real kirtan experience in Bali
This is more than classroom learning — you will experience kirtan across Bali, including:
By the end, you will not only understand kirtan — you will lead it.
Recommended accommodation - Luxury & Convenient - Emana Akatara
For a luxury option, Emana Akatara is a four-star hotel just a one-minute walk from the shala. Booking early is recommended to secure your stay.

What you will leave with
Why Bali?
Bali naturally turns the gaze inward.
The stillness, the ceremony, and the devotion woven into daily life create the ideal setting for this work.
It is a powerful container for this immersion.

What our graduates say
Emma Kearney, UK
I found Alex and her classes by “chance” and I have to honestly say I’ve never felt more welcome or instantly part of the community without being overwhelmed. There was none of the cliquey or elitist atmosphere I’ve experienced elsewhere in Ubud. The classes are excellent, Alex is a natural teacher, and the location and facilities are first rate.
