Tyke’s teaching is rooted in a deep connection with the energetic self, woven through pranayama and asana meditations that use the physical body as a pathway to something more subtle. His approach draws strongly on kundalini-inspired breathwork, bioenergetic grounding, dynamic movement, and yogi drills, all of which reflect the depth of his personal practice and his passion for teaching.
With experience across multiple styles of yoga, he blends his enthusiasm for Eastern philosophy with a Western voice, creating a perspective that bridges esoteric Indian traditions and holistic healing practices from the West. He also brings ancient modalities such as ayurveda, along with kriya-based exercises, into a contemporary urban context, shaping a style that feels distinct and fully his own.
Tyke began his studies under James Tennant and Jim Bennitt at The Tejas Studio in Chicago. The Tejas TTC & Mentorship program is a one-year immersion that builds a strong foundation in yoga, ayurveda, and tantra. He later completed his 500-hour TTC at Kranti Yoga in Goa, India, where he expanded on his existing knowledge through Ashtanga Yoga and Vinyasa Flow.
He also completed the 200-hour TTC and went on to finish the 300-hour TTC courses in Yin Yoga and Vinyasa Flow. Afterward, he remained on the Teaching Team, sharing his experience with both teachers and students who come to Goa. Today, Tyke continues to develop the self-introspective curriculum for the Hatha flow and chakra immersion course, guiding students in bringing subtle body philosophy into a broader yoga practice.
