For many years, a regular yoga practice has been an inseparable part of my life. My first encounter with this discipline more than two decades ago sparked a new and lasting passion in me. A strong desire for deeper understanding and solid background knowledge soon led me to my first yoga teacher training.
My home and heart are in the Rhineland near Cologne, where I love life surrounded by fields, forests, and meadows. Since 2013, I have worked as a self-employed yoga teacher.
Beginning my four-year yoga teacher training at the Society for Geisteswissenschaftliche Fortbildung (GGF) in Aachen marked the start of a beautiful new path, one I continue to follow with lasting curiosity and joy.
My own enthusiasm and the nourishing effects I experienced through age-old philosophies of life led me to ayurveda. At the renowned European Academy for Ayurveda in Birstein, I completed my training as a holistic nutrition and health consultant. I also successfully finished training in ayurveda cooking.
Through numerous advanced trainings, I continually deepen my practical and theoretical knowledge with respected teachers such as Leopoldo Chariarse, Dr. Armin Gottmann, Günter Nießem, and Martin Henninger. Further education in yoga philosophy, yoga therapy, yin yoga, and ayurveda also shapes my workshop and lecture work.
In my yoga classes, I like to combine dynamic and static asana sequences with meditation, pranayama practices, and deep relaxation phases. For more complex and physically demanding asanas, I take the time to explore them in detail with my participants.
Thoughtful, individually adapted, and attentive bodywork is just as important to me as discovering inner and outer ease, and the untouched space within oneself.
Welcome to yoga for everyone!
For me, yoga is a wonderful, ongoing journey that helps us navigate the waves of everyday life, focus wandering thoughts, and connect with the breath. In stillness, I learn to listen and come to rest, so that lightness and joy can arise. Yoga is a good friend that helps strengthen our inner source of trust and find the power to walk our own path.
